Hi

Marketing is something that I am trying to improve. My views had increased on the website and have been putting videos on Instagram to try and grab the public's attention that we are a Made In Canada company and we offer a Made To Order service  foot wear.

What other social media sites are good for organic marketing? And how often should I promote on Instagram and YouTube?
Any further assistance or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you for your time

Hey @Cr71-yka3-L !

Sounds like you're already doing a great job with Instagram and highlighting that you're a Made in Canada + Made to Order brand—that's a strong selling point!

For organic marketing, aside from Instagram and YouTube, you might want to explore:

  • Pinterest – Great for product-based businesses, especially fashion and footwear. Pins have a long lifespan and can drive consistent traffic.
  • Reddit – If you can find subreddits related to handmade/custom footwear or Canadian-made products, engaging there (without spamming) could be helpful.
  • Bluesky & Tumblr – If you're looking for a more niche audience that values craftsmanship and small businesses, these platforms might work.
  • TikTok – If you can show the "behind-the-scenes" of the making process, TikTok can be a goldmine for organic reach.

For Instagram & YouTube posting frequency:

  • Instagram – Aim for 3-5 posts a week, but Stories daily (even casual behind-the-scenes or polls). Reels tend to perform better for organic reach.
  • YouTube – Consistency matters more than frequency. 1-2 high-quality videos per month can work if they focus on storytelling, behind-the-scenes, or customer testimonials. Shorts (YouTube’s version of Reels/TikToks) can be posted more frequently (2-3 times a week).

Also, consider running post-purchase surveys to ask customers where they first heard about you. That'll help you double down on the platforms bringing in actual buyers.

Hope that helps! Let me know if you want any more specific ideas. 🚀
