I am moving to shopify from another bespoke platform. I currently sell a lot of bundles that contain products of different tax rates. eg 20% and 5%.
Currently i have full control of the selling price of each item in the kit and the VAT rate of the item. This is then correctly outputted to our order management system as individual items with the correct VAT.
I don't seem to be able replicate this in Shopify. I understand i can create an over-riding tax rates for a collection, however as the price of the bundle changes the tax percentage would change. So this isn't workable.
If anyone has any bright ideas I would love to hear them.
Hey! I have the same problem.
For a given product I have several variants. Some variants are bundles of products with different tax rates (13% and 20%). I couldn't find a way to record the VAT properly so far, as it will only take the VAT from the manual collection I used for the tax override.
How are people solving this? We are not clearly not the first ones having this issue...
