I sell chocolates in nevada online, and we dont charge a sales tax here on food so the only taxes I believe need to be collected are for origin based states and counties that tax perishables? I am coming from etsy and on that website, the sales tax was calculated and charged for the customer and those taxes would be somehow divided to the proper locations on behalf of etsy. Does shopify work this way as well? I don't want to start selling with that assumption. I am seeing incongruity online when relating to my situation. If anyone could help I appreciate it!
