tax id, what number do I input

I received a tax id for my state. In the letter there is a "revenue ID" and a sales tax account number. Which of these do I input for my sales tax id?

Thanks for getting in touch. Can you tell me which state you are registered for tax in, please? How many digits are the revenue ID and sales tax account numbers?

Hi Victor,

I am registered in the state of Pennsylvania. The revenue id has 10 numbers in it and my account number has 8.

Hi @Bflaherty03,

Thank you. I touched based with our taxes team on this, and they said the number should have the format "PA0000000". Are either of the numbers like this, in this format?

Thank you for your help,

Neither number is listed with a PA in front of it.

It is a sales tax license and it states that it authorizes me to collect state and/or local sales, use and hotel occupancy tax.

Hi @Bflaherty03,

Right, okay. Could you please try entering in your tax account number, and see if the system accepts it? I believe that is more likely of the two to be the one you need.
