Hi everyone,

I am in a bit of a unique situation here and need help.

Intro:

We have two copied stores (Shopify plus), these are almost an exact copy of each other which just slight differences.

Store A - is our original store which serves a local community.
Store B - is our national store which ships to the entire US.

When users are located outside of the state, they are automatically redirected to store B. If they are in the state, they are kept on Store A.

We have 1 Google Merchant Center account which covers our entire business.
We have 1 Google Ads account which we use to advertise to both Store A and Store B geo-locations.

The issue:

Our feed is managed through Store A with the Feed For Google Shopping app. This app was also used to implement conversion tracking pixels on store A.

Store B doesn't have this app, and doesn't have the conversion tracking implemented, as a result, sales that come through Store B are not tracked in Google Ads.

I need help getting the same conversion action that we are already using with Store A to be added to Store B. However, if I will just add the same app to Store B, I am afraid I will essentially create a duplicated feed which will just cause more mess.

Any suggestions?

Thank you!!

Expect your account to get suspended, only one website per business.

Google Shopping is a nation wide advertising model. And geo redirects is not allowed.

However if you want to add conversion tracking to another site, simply install the same conversion action on the other site. Here is a guide: https://feedarmy.com/kb/adding-adwords-conversion-tracking-to-shopify/

The correct way of doing what you want is to store A with local inventory ads only.

  1. Set up your accounts
  2. Enable local inventory ads
  3. Verify your About page (European countries only)
  4. Create a local products feed
  5. Create a local product inventory feed
  6. Register and submit local feeds.
  7. Request inventory verification
  8. Enable local in your Shopping campaigns

Hi Emmanuel,

Thank you for your reply and for the instructions!

Just to clarify though, this is one website for one business. The setup is store.com and subdomain.store.com. The subdomain is the only difference and we are targeting only the USA; our local store targeting only our state. The items and the same, the prices are the same, the only difference is that the local store has some "local" elements added in the product description.

As far as I know, Google is okay with subdomains. Isn't that so?

Subdomains are still considered a new website.

The issue is not the website, itself but your method of setup. Redirecting is strictly prohibited. A user regardless of location must see the same exact content as any other user.
