We are a veteran ran company (we are a brand) that sells Christian apparel.  We donate $5 from every shirt to a 4 different charities that we have vetted.  But we are looking for advice.  We have been running FB ads for about 5 months and been acquiring at least 300 likes/follows per month.  With each 10 likes, we usually get a positive comment and a share.  We are close to 1600 likes with some great feedback but the problem is getting the likes to become converted customers.  We run specials monthly and when we do have visitors on the site, they abandon carts.  We have install consistent cart to help track them but with all spending on the ads, we have yet to see a ROI.   When we attend events, our shirts sells really great, but we need to have customers come to our page and order.  What should we do?  Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hey Thomas,

Overall, the site looks good but I do have a few suggestions.

  1. Get rid of the autoplaying sound. A lot of people are going to bounce as soon as that starts playing.
  2. On the homepage, I would get rid of the auto-changing product images. It makes things look too busy. Just let the users click the images they want to see.
  3. The changing image at the bottom moves really fast. If you want to keep that, slow it down, and maybe add some transitions so it's not so jarring.
  4. Your prices seem high. It might be worth experimenting with some lower prices.
  5. I saw in your return policy, you charge $10 for returns. Being more generous here and adjusting if you are getting a lot of unwarranted returns can give customers more confidence to purchase from you.
  6. When I add a product to my cart, I'm hit up for my email address immediately. I'll give it in checkout, so I'm not sure why I would add it here or what it's for.

You're off to a good start, and some small adjustments might help your conversion rate quite a bit. If you're interested in learning more about reducing abandoned carts, or what a typical abandon rate looks like, I wrote an article last week that might help. You can read it here https://medium.com/@neatshift/run-your-shopify-store-like-a-science-project-4-experiments-to-reduce-...

I hope this helps and good luck!

Thank you for the advice,  I am making some of the changes now.  The app consistent cart makes you add your email.  I will adjust the settings on it.

Thank you so much again for taking the time to look and give out advice.

Have a blessed day.
