I'm the founder of a small analytics company that makes it easy to see where sales / conversions come from. I've worked with a few shopify stores in the past, but am curious if other folks are having the same problem. I'd love to hear from folks if this is a problem for them or if they've got it sorted out.
Here's a quick test:
- Can you name your top 5 most valuable sources of traffic?
- Do most of your customers convert right away, or do they wait and revisit a few times?
- What is your ROI on paid campaigns?
Yeah GA is free. Do you use the goal completion and attribution capabilities? I find most people do not or do not use the data to meaningfully measure their marketing efforts.
GA also does not pull in cost data from non-AdWords networks. So it's tough to have apples-to-apples if you have to mix and match analytics platforms.
