Thanks for reaching out today! I'd be happy to lend a couple of pointers when it comes to setting up and marketing your dropshipping business into something that can grow into a successful, reputable business.
I've definitely seen successful businesses with drop shipping but you really have to think about who you're trying to market to and consider your brand voice. If you're going to go the women’s accessories route, you can absolutely do that, but focus on a few good products that you have faith in, order some samples, take some photos on your own, staged nicely, and reupload those photos to the store. We actually have a free guide here to DIY Product Photography Tips. When you import products into your store, Oberlo and Aliexpress are generally going to bring those products in with long titles and stock photos that aren't always appealing. I'd recommend editing the product titles into something unique and engaging.
For example, if you have 12 products to start, you can order one of each, and then get a friend/mannequin/clothing hanger to show off the products in a professional way. Sometimes the products that come from Oberlo already have some nice product photos attached to them, but if you have one modeling method that consistently showcases your products throughout the site, it really helps with consistency and creating that brand trust. It's a little tricky to start up at first, but once you've got it rolling, you'll have no issue!
In today’s competitive world of marketing and advertising, another key to success is building a strong brand. Branding involves developing a compelling, positive and lasting image of your business that creates an emotional connection with your customers. The strength of your company’s brand could mean the difference between struggling for recognition and sales or thriving as a dynamic, best-in-class business. This can seem like a daunting task at first, lucky for you we got ya covered! We discuss several key aspects of branding in our branding articles hub. This will take you from A-Z for developing and executing a brand that thrives. Not sure where to start? How to build a brand in 7 steps is a terrific starting point. I'd love to hear more about the direction you would like to take/achieve as far as your 'brand voice' goes.
In addition, This Color Wheel Tool is useful to learn about color design theory that generates color codes based on the type of color combination you want for your store. It's perfect for finding the right combination of colors to use on your homepage design, logo, images, etc.
