This feature is locked in the admin if you have already made sales, even a test order. The reason for this is so you can reach out to our support team and chat with us about the effects this will have on your business if you were to change currencies after sales have been made.

There are also considerations to be made to make sure your installed apps still operate wit your new currency (for this, you will need to reach out to your app developers) and that your existing payment gateways accept this new currency.

All my currency apps are up to date. Yes I need to have the store’s currency changed back to €, the reason is because I live in Europe and Shopify Payments just arrived here which allows customers to check out with their preferred currency.
