Error when using Automatic Discounts

Hello,

I get an error when using the shopify automatic discount buy x get y free. (no apps being used)

The promotion is set up to buy 11 get 1 free but when I add 11 to the cart the 1 free doesn't show. However if I apply 12 to the cart it shows the 1 free after I re-fresh the page. Could you please advise how I can set-up the promotion where I can ask the consumer to add 11 of the product and the additional 1 shows as a free product in cart.

The automatic discount feature only applies the rule, it does not automatically add items to cart. That functionality would have to be developed in your theme.
