You can display your Shopify products on your Facebook Page by using Facebook Shop. When you set up Facebook Shop, Facebook creates a Shop section on your Facebook Page that displays your Shopify products. You can make changes to products, review sales, and fulfill orders in Shopify.

As of May 19, 2020, Facebook Shop is no longer available to download from the Shopify App Store. Stores that have the Facebook Shop channel installed can still use it and new stores will find the Facebook Shop feature in the current version of the Facebook channel.


To be eligible to list products on Facebook by using the new current Facebook channel or the Facebook Shop sales channel, you need to meet a few requirements:

  • Your store needs to list products for sale in a currency that's supported by Facebook. Learn more about selecting a currency in Shopify here.
  • You need a Facebook Page for your business. The Facebook Page needs to use the Shopping template.
    Your Sender email address, set in General settings of your Shopify admin, needs to be a valid email address. This cannot be a forwarding address.

There are also a number of requirements to be met on Facebook’s side of things:

  • Your Facebook account needs to have an admin role on the Page.
  • The Facebook page needs to be published.

Note: You can be an admin on multiple Facebook pages, and access them all using a single Facebook Business Manager. However, every Facebook business page can only be owned by a single Facebook Business Manager. You need to be the admin of both the Facebook Business Manager that owns a specific Facebook page and the Facebook page itself to connect it with the Facebook channel in Shopify. The Set-Up:

Before setting up Facebook Shop, please make sure that you review Facebook's Commerce Product Merchant Agreement. You will need to wait for Facebook to review your store before you can start selling through Facebook Shop.

If you do not have a Facebook Page set up for your business yet, you can learn how to do so here.

If you already have a Shop section active on your Facebook Page, then you might want to create a test page on Facebook before you set up Facebook Shop. Setting up Facebook Shop removes all the products on an existing Shop section and replaces them with your Shopify products.


Part I

  1. From your Shopify admin, click the + button beside the Sales channels heading.
  2. On the Add sales channel dialog, click Facebook Shop to learn more about the sales channel.
  3. Click Add channel.

Part II

  1. Connect the Facebook account you want associated with your products
  2. Go to Facebook Shop > Account.
  3. Click Connect account.
  4. If you are already logged in to Facebook, then confirm that you're using the correct Facebook account. If you are not logged in, then enter your Facebook login information.
  5. Follow the prompts on the Log in with Facebook dialog to allow Shopify to connect with your business's Facebook page.

You will then need to wait for Facebook to review your store. This can take up to 48 hours. You will be notified by email and in Shopify when Facebook finishes the review process.

If your store is rejected, then you can contact Facebook for more information. All accounts, pages, and products associated with Facebook Shop are subject to approval by Facebook.
