Google Ads Remarketing Set up and 2 Google Analytics Accounts showing

Hello

Hoping someone can help me with two queries.  I am trying to set up my store for google remarketing. I followed the instructions from this article to install the snipped and checkout codes - https://www.digitaldarts.com.au/google-shopping/merchant-center-programs

Query 1) When I view my Google Ads account under Audience Sources I get two error messages. I copy these below.

Fix your audience source that's sending a required parameter that doesn't match your feed

Your campaigns can't tailor dynamic ads based on user activity when the required parameter doesn't match your feed. Make sure the audience source is sending the required parameter correctly and your feed has the right items.

The values received from your audience source for the required parameter for your business type may be formatted differently than in your feed or missing from your feed. Click "Download" to see the top values received for the required parameter that aren't matching your feed. Note that Google Analytics refers to parameters for remarketing as Dynamic Attributes. Download

Issue: 100% of ecomm_prodid values received in the past day didn't match your feed

Fix your audience source that's not sending a required parameter

Your campaigns can't tailor dynamic ads based on user activity when your audience source doesn't send the required parameter. Make sure the required parameter is being sent correctly.

Your audience source may not have the required parameter for your business type on all relevant pages or events. Check that you're passing the required parameter for your business type anytime users interact with products or services you want to advertise. Note that Google Analytics refers to parameters for remarketing as Dynamic Attributes.

I don't know how to adjust this, I adapted the product ID suffix to be GB as some articles indicted this might help. But it hasn't made any change. Is there something else I need to do? I'm not super web savvy, but i can follow instructions so if anyone can advise i'd be very grateful.

Query 2)

I ran Google Tag Assistant to see how it looked and it seems (despite the above) to be tagging most pages despite a few errors. But I noticed that an old Google Analytics account is still tracking sections of our site. This is our old web developers UA number. I have updated our new GA Property code in preferences and in the snippet for the remarketing and HEAD section. Can anyone advise how or where i might find the rouge GA number hidden? A search of the theme code has been fruitless.

Thanks so much!!

Make sure to give it a few days after you make a change. Google needs time to collect new data when changes are made.

You seem to be mixing old and new code together. ecomm_prodid is the old one and then further down you have new coding google_business_vertical

Having different coding all over may cause issues.

You can try the following tutorial: https://feedarmy.com/kb/adding-google-adwords-remarketing-tag-to-shopify/

However make sure to clean up all old coding.

Connecting Google Ads to Analytics. Beginning is simple: Just connection your Google Ads record to your Google Analytics account. After you've connected, you'll have the option to see measurements like normal visit length, pages per visit, level of new visits, and ricochet rate directly inside your AdWords interface.

@topmover13 that does not work for dynamic display remarketing. Which requires the product id to match the id in the data feed. This info is not collected by Google Analytics. Hence the requirement for Google Ads Tag Remarketing.
