Google Analytics Cross Domain Tracking

Is there any solution to the cross domain issue for the checkout?

My site is brand new so I know the only traffic I am getting is from Adwords but my conversions are showing up
as Direct or Referral (paypal.com).    I've seen quite a bit of discuss about this but I have not seen a solid answer to the issue.
Anybody know the fix?

The most likely issue will be not having the checkout.shopify.com subdomain in the referral exclusion list. I've done many analytics installs and optimizations, and have seen it a few times.

You can configure a lot more in analytics to get cleaner, more useful data. I suggest you check out this step-by-step guide I published:

Hi Joshua,

So checkout.shopify.com must be in refferal exclusion list or not? Because I added it there and seems that from this moment I am facing this issue with tracking traffic as new at checkout.shopify.com 

And my transactions are not associated with landings and traffic sources came from...

That solution hasn't worked for me, for example I haven't been able to get the Bold App recurring orders to be measured in Analytics...

 

Anyone can help on how to solve that problem?

We have checkout.shopify.com as in referral exclusion list, still, we are getting the referral from this domain.

As of today, check out happens on your own domain, and not on checkout.shpoify.com anymore.

Thus, no need to add checkout.shopify.com to referral exclusion list

We're you able to solve this issue? I'm having the same issue. All of our conversions on Google Analytics are coming in as "direct."

Hi Dannie. That is unusual to have all conversions attributed to direct/none. How many are we talking per month? What are your payment processors? Do you happen to use the Shopify Buy button? Cross-domain tracking doesn't work with the buy button unless you get further custom development done to intercept the click, then decorate the URL with the necessary cookie information.
