Wondering if you can help me on an SEO-related problem. Recently swapped to Shopify (early November), and have been (in large) impressed with the features and ease of administration.
That being said, I'm having an issue with the indexing of our product collections. All 83 product pages are successfully indexed, as are the blogs and general pages.
When it comes to the collections (what are extremely strong organic traffic sources for our online shop), I am only seeing the 'All' collections page indexed successfully.
The website has been live now on Shopify for over two months - the products indexing show that everything else seems to be SEO-optimised correctly. As mentioned, key trigger words 'Mens Cycling Jerseys', 'Retro Cycling Jerseys' etc are key traffic drivers for our website, so a solution or advice would be very much appreciated.
The website is https://www.scimitarshop.co.uk, and a few key collections are below:

Thanks in advance,
Love the site and the creative Jerseys!
Seeing as everything else is indexed, do you have anything in your robot.txt file in your Search Console that is blocking the collections pages?
Are you using any SEO software that allows you to add no-follow rules to certain pages/collections?
Let me know. I specialize in SEO, so if you need any help I'm happy to take a peak.
Thank you for coming back to me - and thank you for your kind words! There was a big effort in migrating over to Shopify from Opencart, and this is proving to be an absolute nightmare.
In terms of the search console robots.txt report, the collections are coming back as 'allowed', but here's the snippet:
# we use Shopify as our ecommerce platform User-agent: * Disallow: /admin Disallow: /cart Disallow: /orders Disallow: /checkout Disallow: /13662449/checkouts Disallow: /carts Disallow: /account Disallow: /collections/*+* Disallow: /collections/*%2B* Disallow: /collections/*%2b* Disallow: /blogs/*+* Disallow: /blogs/*%2B* Disallow: /blogs/*%2b* Disallow: /*design_theme_id* Disallow: /*preview_theme_id* Disallow: /*preview_script_id* Disallow: /apple-app-site-association Sitemap: https://www.scimitarshop.co.uk/sitemap.xml # Google adsbot ignores robots.txt unless specifically named! User-agent: adsbot-google Disallow: /checkout Disallow: /carts Disallow: /orders Disallow: /13662449/checkouts Disallow: /*design_theme_id* Disallow: /*preview_theme_id* Disallow: /*preview_script_id* User-agent: Nutch Disallow: / User-agent: MJ12bot Crawl-Delay: 10
I've just looked at the dev data on Chrome and spotted these two errors, although they appear to be site-wide, and not collection-specific.
1) Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 ()- https://events.privy.com/v2/collect 2) XMLHttpRequest cannot load https://events.privy.com/v2/collect. No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. Origin 'https://www.scimitarshop.co.uk' is therefore not allowed access. The response had HTTP status code 500. - www.scimitarshop.co.uk/:1
There's no external SEO software we are using that would apply third-party no follow links - I use software to monitor search engine listing movement, but that's about it!
I'd really appreciate your assistance to be fair, if you could take a peak I would be truly greatful! I'd also love a response from Shopify experts in the interim if it's at all possible.
Still no movement on the indexing of our collections. I'm still at a complete loss as to how this could be happening.
We're missing out on a large chunk of organic traffic here (that we had successfully built up on the Opencart platform) - seriously considering a switch to another ecommerce provider.
Does anybody have any other ideas on what may be the issue here? Would be great to hear as many thoughts as possible! (SEO Experts, prove your worth! Haha).

A site:www.scimitarshop.co.uk/collections search shows there are a few collections indexed.
Strangely one includes limit=100. Which means it won't count in your sitemap.
I would try Fetch as Google then Submit to Index on some of the missing ones. Then re-submit the sitemap and wait to see if it updates anything.
A the the moment they are doing some restructuring in the Google Search Console, so their is a chance that the reports are inacurrate.
I know this has been a long time since Someone asked this question. But this problem i.e. Collection page indexing error occurs till today also. I have a store in which I am getting this indexing problem. And I have no idea how to solve this problem.
Please help to resolve the issue. This is really very critical issue which, in my view, has no solution.
