I've been having a lot of trouble when it comes to googling my site, no mater what words I type in not even 'nativeldn.co.uk' will show my page! The only thing I realised works is if I type in 'site:nativeldn.co.uk'. When I did that, I realised that my title and meta description on Goggle is all wrong! I've been trying to fix this but its all so frustrating. Can anyone please help me?
I read a thread that was closed that you need to edit the code in theme.liquid area but each theme has a different code. Mine is:
<title>
{{ page_title }}{% if current_tags %}{% assign meta_tags = current_tags | join: ', ' %} – {{ 'general.meta.tags' | t: tags: meta_tags }}{% endif %}{% if current_page != 1 %} – {{ 'general.meta.page' | t: page: current_page }}{% endif %}{% unless page_title contains shop.name %} – {{ shop.name }}{% endunless %}
</title>
{% if page_description %}
<meta name="description" content="{{ page_description | escape }}">
{% endif %}
{% include 'social-meta-tags' %}
Please help :(
Hi Julienne,
What you have in the title tag is not always what Google will show. If they think something else is better for their users, Google can completely alter your title tags.
Currently for the home page you have:
<title>Native London - Active Natural Skin Care</title>
What are you trying to use? Also need to remember Google needs to crawl then index your pages before it reveals any changes to your store.

When you say something different comes up what does that refer to:
This is where a screenshot would be handy so the forum members can see what you are.
Hi Jason,
I have attached screenshots of what comes up with different vairations when looking for my site. I've tried to be very specific but on other computers (other than mine) no matter what you type in the search box my shop cannot be found. Most of the time when you google 'nativeldn.co.uk' my site doesnt even show up.
This is what you can see when I Google search my shop:

You raised 2 questions:
1. You just bought your domain not long ago. Google will not put it at the top as it's new. Not to mention there are not many sites linking to this new domain. What you can do to make new links to this domain, e.g. new Youtube, Facebook, Twitter account, Blog with this link. It can help to increase Google index update speed. Submit your sitemap will help too.
2. You didn't set the correct title and meta description in the web panel? You should set them in the web panel

Google has changed in recent times, and shows search snippets sometimes, instead of the written meta description. It is out of your control.
Here is some advice from MOZ that can help nudge your site in the right direction.
1. Focus Your META Description
Let's say that, for some reason, we really wanted that SEOmoz blog post to rank for "January 19". One solution is to make sure that phrase appears in our META description for the relevant page. If Google can find the matching copy in your description, they're more likely to use the tag as is. It's also just a good exercise – figuring out what your core target keywords are and targeting them naturally in your META description (don't just make it a list of keywords, of course) will help you focus your overall on-page SEO efforts.
2. Remove Duplicate METAs
In some cases, having too many pages with duplicate TITLE tags or META descriptions can lead Google to rank the wrong page or filter that META description. De-duplicating your TITLEs and META descriptions is a good practice anyway, but making sure that each page has its own unique and relevant description can also help insure that Google sees value in those descriptions.
In terms of your site not showing, your site is new and has not been indexed properly yet I would imagine.
The quickest way is to register on webmaster tools and submit a sitemap.
Also creating links through social is a quick way of getting the site indexed.

What are the other search terms you are expecting to rank for?
As has been said.Your titleand meta description are suggestions to Google on what to use in the search results. If they think they don'tmatch well with the searchers intent, or the content of the page, Google will make their own form other sources.
