Indexing and blocked resources

Hi

Google has indexed most of my pages (although site:mywebsite doesn't confirm this) but I also have a stack or pages coming up with a blocked resource.

How do I fix it? It is to do with cart.js and appears to be my product pages which should be indexed.

Thanks

Jo

Hey Joanne,

We may need some more insight into what is being called a blocked resource. The forum members would need more info to be able to help here.

Hi Jason

As above it's cart.js so www.bamboolulu.com.au/cart.js and then it lists 67 of my pages.

Does this help or is there something specific?

Cheers

Jo

Google doesn't need to index cart.js as it's a JavaScript file and would be specific to single users (and shouldn't be indexed). This doesn't sound like something that's a problem but you could always post a screenshot to help people understand what you're looking at.

cart.js probably includes functionality that you don't want Googlebot executing, hence it is blocked. It's not an issue. Do a fetch and render and visually check that the pages look correct.

The site: search only shows a subset of indexed pages, so you may find pages missing from it.
