I got a serious issue with my online stores indexing in google webmaster. Non of my images are getting indexed in google webmaster. And only 1/5th of my links are indexed.
I think there is some problem which hurting my indexing and SEO really bad.
I tried to contact shopify team about this but they said it's all fine from there side and asked me to contact my theme developer. And when contacted him he said he got nothing to do with that as others dont see that problem. And here i am with no clue what happening and what hurting my indexing and ranking.
Hope i can use some help from you guys.
Along with that i would like some tips on improving my ranking.
The first thing I would ask is if you have verified the https://boldwish.com version. i.e. the one with https and without www. That is the one people/bots are forced to, and therefore the one that will be indexed.
I'd also submit the sub sitemaps to the GSC. It will help divide the issues up. e.g.
I'm new to shopify and how it works. What I can see is that the images in the sitemap are on a different domain (the shopify cdn). As the search console is site specific, those images will probably not show as indexed.
I'd love to hear if anyone sees their images being classed as indexed? And more importantly, are they showing up in Google image searches?
I suspect these are from your product sitemap.
Googlebot looks at the initially rendered page, so will probably decide that the image is not actually on the page. And because of that, it will not index that actual image URL.
The page does contain a variation of that image URL, which probably does get indexed. However, as it does not match the URL in the sitemap, it will not be registered as indexed against that sitemap.
If you do the following search in Google Images you will see which images have actually been indexed:
You will notice that the URL for most of them contains 1024x1024 in them. That is the URL for the images that are actually show on the product pages.
This is not a major issue. It just means you can't see how well your images are indexed via the sitemap report. You may be able to fix that by changing the initially visible image on the page to match the sitemap. But that may also slow down your pages!
