Does anyone have experience with this? I came across this site and am curious what people think about it or if anyone has done something like it.
It claims to find relationships between external things like weather or news and your ad performance. Would it be worth trying?
It all depends on the product offering as to its potential in having correlations with those variables. I'm thinking mostly of weather.
We have never done anything with news because for me, a true correlation needs to exist that actually impacts performance that is NOT manageable via your normal means. Few businesses (who probably need to be spending high five figures and have a strong public presence in their PR) are going to want to make bid changes that anticipate or instantly respond to news events (pro-actively) as opposed re-actively.
I think you'll be interested in public scripts like https://developers.google.com/google-ads/scripts/docs/solutions/weather-based-campaign-management.
