Why does Google like my Shopify domain more than my own domain?

Hi there!

I launched my store a few weeks back and linked it to an existing domain name for my jewelry brand. However, when I now search for my brand name on Google, the very first page that shows up is the Shopify domain! 

What could possibly be the cause of this? And how do I get it to link to my custom domain?

Thank you so much Frans! You were right. I've set my custom domain as primary domain and I'll resubmit my sitemap to Google right away.
