Feedback On My New Store

Hi everyone 

I've just started my business  and i'm advertising my products on facebook and instagram.

Last week Data 

  • Added to cart : 53 Sessions
  • Reached Checkout : 19 Sessions
  • Sessions Converted : 6
  • Online Store Sessions : 4222
  • Total sales : $91.60

I would really appreciate if someone can advice me on this as i'm unable to figure out the problems.

Sometimes you have to put yourself in the visitors shoes. Going through your checkout I noticed it doesn't have your logo. This might be putting some visitors of when they get to the checkout.

Hey congratulations on opening such a great store, honestly I like it a lot, but I think there might be a couple things you could consider changing.

 

Did you think about adding a sense of urgency. By using urgency, you can make your visitors feel like they are missing out unless they order immediately. The 'Fear of Missing Out' that they experience, will increase your ability to convert them into buyers. One app that can help you with that is https://apps.shopify.com/better-countdown . It really can make a big difference in getting your customers to buy from you

 

An important thing I couldn't find is a blog. If you had a blog you would be able to drive more organic traffic to your store, plus it would help establish yourself as an expert.

 

An important thing I couldn't find is reviews. Adding reviews would help your customers research the products they are going to buy. Plus if someone likes a product they bought from you they can leave a review.

 

Nice job on your all of your hard work so far, and I'm sure that just a few minor changes will really help.

Your conversion rate actually isn't that bad for facebook / instagram traffic.  On a well known store, you might see conversion rates (orders / sessions) in the .3 to .5% range.  You're at around .15%.  

 

Given the breadth of products in your store, you may want to really dive into the audience targeting options on facebook ads and create ads specifically tailored to each set of products.  If you're just running general ads right now, you can probably increase your conversion rate 2x.

Hi Rachit,

First of all Congratulations for your store and your website looks stunning, simple yet elegant but you can still make few changes to enhance your website’s look. I have reviewed your store and updated you, how to be more appealing and drive sales with better effeciency.

 

  1. Can you add some more products to Featured Section, rather than showing full description of single product?
  2. Travel store is not at all placed right, its conflicting with image. You can work on that part.
  3. You can convert “About us” text in the footer to a page and add link of the page in the footer.
  4. Taking someone to the cart is a challenge. So to make them buy from your site, add a longer product description as it leads to better SEO ranking in google search.  Ref article from shopify
  5. If you're suffering from lots of traffic and little sales due to abandoned carts, you're not the only one— and PushOwl could be the answer you're looking for. Automated abandoned cart push notifications can help you increase sales and re-engage visitors to your site who have left.
  6. The default search landing page is bit off, I mean it's not working properly and empty as well https://theemporiooriginals.com/search?type=product&q= and you have around 230 products and you’ll be adding more in the future.
  7. I would strongly recommend to replace the default search with advanced search like Sparq which allows synonyms, advanced custom tag filters, spelling correction and other such feature. Visitors with search are high intent users and their conversion rate is higher than normal users.
