Feedback Please

Hi there. We just went live yesterday after leaving another website host and creating a new store. Shopify is much different than where we were before. We'd really appreciate any and all feedback on our store. We aren't happy with the checkout using Paypal here because it just seems to take too many steps. Not sure why this is as we've used Paypal for a few years without this issue. Thank you in advance.

Hi @Moto-Stop.

Thank you for your message and congratulations on starting a new shop with us! I would be more than happy to take a look at the store and provide you with some feedback, are you able to share the link here?

In regards to PayPal, can you elaborate further as to what steps you are noticing at checkout, and how does this compare to your previous experience when using PayPal for checkout?

Is PayPal the only payment gateway you have available to your customers currently? If so, it's always a good idea to offer as many payment options as you can for your customers at checkout, as some may not utilize PayPal. I would recommend checking out our helpful Online Payment Gateways guide and selecting the country you are based in to see what payment gateways you have available for you.

We also have our own payment gateway called Shopify Payments, with this gateway you're automatically set up to accept all major payment methods as soon as you create your Shopify store. Shopify Payments is available only to stores in certain countries, for a list of supported countries feel free to review our Shopify Payments requirements here.

As a newly launched store, I would also recommend checking out our handy store launch checklist guide to ensure you have everything set up for a successful launch!

Please share your store link, any further context in regards to PayPal and any additional questions you may have and I would be more than happy to take a look!

Hey @Moto-StopThis is AiTrillion- an All-in-one Marketing Platform on Shopify. Here is the feedback on your store that you can implement in your store:

- Add about us page in the header and footer.

- Add a call to action button on the banner image.

- Align these images and add a call to action button below these collection names.

- Add a title to this section 'You may also like'.

- Add a review carousel on the homepage. It helps in building trust with other visitors.

Add an announcement bar with a call to action button on it to highlight important information that you don't want your customers to miss out on & make them take action from it.

Add exit-intent popup. Track when someone is about to leave your website and show the visitor an exit-intent popup with attractive offers and coupon code to complete the purchase.

- Add trust badges in your store. With the help of trust badges, customers will know that all the processes taking place are safe and secure.

Make your store more trustworthy and increase customer engagement. Customer engagement is a very important part of an online business. If your store lacks customer engagement it might lead to a high bounce rate and low conversions.

To add the above marketing engagement tools there are many apps available in the Shopify app store. Instead of installing multiple apps, you can install the all-in-one Shopify app AiTrillion and get all the benefits of marketing features in a single app.

P.S- Free plan available.

Hey @Moto-Stop,

Welcome to Shopify and congratulations on the launch of your store! I've taken a look through and have some feedback for you.

Your homepage banner appears to be cut off. That main banner area is prime real estate for selling.  One of the keys of selling is getting inside your customers head, what problem do they have that you can solve? Or what is it that they desire that you provide? Use words or phrases that they do to show that you understand their needs. We recommend using this type of text in your banner. For the format, we recommend having a professional photo of your products, a title introducing your brand or product, a line of text underneath that expands on your title and a call to action button such as "Shop Now". Here is an example:

Your logo is one of those things that holds a lot of weight in how professional or unprofessional your store looks. I would highly recommend having a professional logo done up for your store, it’s a worthy investment. This is a service we offer so if you are interested, you can click here for more information.

Once your logo is finished, you can match the fonts and colors in your store to your logo. This is going to level up your store even more and make you look very professional.

The contact page is one of the core pages that should be on every website. Shopify has made creating a contact page with a form really simple, here is how to do it:

I’d recommend utilizing Shopify’s sales channels for your social media pages. This is going to allow you to tag products that you post on your social media and then have that tag lead to your store. Here is how to implement it for Facebook and Instagram.

One very important piece of selling is getting the right kind of traffic to your store, your target audience (high traffic is not a good thing if it is the wrong kind of traffic). Good SEO will help you  reach your intended audience organically. By default, Shopify will pull your product titles and descriptions and use that as your SEO (that is what is happening in your case). You don't want to leave your SEO to default, you want to make sure you include the same words that a person trying to find your product would search in Google. We created a video walking you through how to do your SEO that you can watch here:

With every sale you do locally, make sure to include a business card with a discount for their next online order. This will create awareness that you have an online shop. Here is how to create a discount code:

You could also offer incentives such as free local delivery:

If delivery is not an option, or if you want to offer two things, you could offer local pickup as well:

I would highly recommend that you encourage your customers to leave a review on the products they purchase. Positive reviews are very valuable, they add a lot of trust to your store. Here is a video on how to add a free review app to your store:

I will leave it at that for now but if you would like to talk to us 1-1, we offer sessions where we take a look at your store, identify the greatest issues holding you back, then provide solutions and advice. If you would like to book a session, you can do so here:

We hope our response was helpful, if it was, let us know by giving us a thumbs up and/or marking it as a solution!

Best of luck!
