I just had a quick look at your store and below are some comments that I hope it might help you out.
1. Let people know what you are selling
This is the first thing people see when entering your Homepage, which includes the key message offered to captivate the audience. As visitors are unsure about what product they need, try to make it clear about types of products you are selling.
The hero content includes 3 things:
- Your product range
- Promotions and discounts
- Featured products
You can read details in this guide, using the research’s findings from the Baymard Institute’s e-commerce UX research.
A favicon is the first thing you need to add a polished look to your website. Increase your brand's trust and attract visitors to your store by this small but powerful icon.
Here is a quick tutorial on how to add a favicon: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/online-store/os/using-themes/change-the-layout/theme-settings/add...
Banner is the first thing people notice about your store. Consider it as a visual announcement of what you are offering.
Tell your potential audience who you are and what benefit do you offer to them, then add a contrast CTA button to redirect visitors to your most compelling products, promotional campaigns, featured collections, etc and encourage them to the sales journey.
Below is an example of how it looks like:
Write a story about you, how you have started with your own business, and a “Read more” text link to the “About us” so that people get to know more about you. Add more words to increase your store credibility.
For example, you might want to include things like the origin of your products, materials, is this safe for children?, or just simply support local manufacturing, etc.
It can be short, but appealing to customers, like the ones below.
2. Improve your store visual experience
Kids have their own lifestyles, and also their parents would like to see how the kids look before making a decision. Display images of how happy, sweet and playful kids are wearing your clothes instead of featuring the product's look. You can show it later in the Product page.
How about focusing on some featured products that you think might help you to increase sales? Create a section on your Homepage where you would like to draw attention to.
Think about products with discount price, your unique products, trending products, limited products, or products targeting a certain traffic group.
An effective storefront will increase your sales. Personally, I prefer a playful, colorful concept for kids clothing brands.
Also, use a discount banner on top of the page and a pop-up window to encourage more interactions from visitors.
3. Build proof and trust online
How to gain trust from your customers? Trust badges can help to increase your conversion rate. You can read this article from Oberlo for 5 main types of website badges you can implement on your store. They also mention some primary reasons behind cart abandonment for your reference.
Social media has a positive impact on online sales. Try to connect your store to other sales channels to increase your online visibility. An example from Kidstuff:
Also, I have found a guide for some web design tips with explanations, you can read it here.
Let me know if you find this checklist helpful for you, by hitting the “Like" button or mark it your “Solution".
Just take a look at your store and have some comments below:
- About the banner, move the CTA button to the left and add some texts above the button.
And by the way, is this the kid look unhappy? you can try to use other banners.
- It would be great if you have Quickview parts to help customers see quickly.
- It's great to show real-life photos. But the image like this is not good enough. You can try to take a photo inside your house.
- You can try to create a gallery to show more real-life product photos on your homepage. Check this app Shoppable Instagram Gallery, it's free and very easy-to-use.
- Add your product sliders to the left and under of your product photos. Your customers don't like scrolling too much.
- You can try to add some discount events like discount popups or an email registration event.
Here is my view and hope it can help you improve your business.
Hi @Nah153559 !
Welcome to Shopify and I wish you good luck!
The sale you have seems to be a nice deal, however, when you make such a big amount off it might devalue your product. People always need to know why you have made such sales, is it a seasonal sale? or is it because there is no demand for it? Does that mean the product is bad?Instead of giving a discount for nothing, give them rewards for completing certain actions on your store ex. for creating accounts, for leaving a review, for sharing your site, for spending money on your site. It is not difficult for a user to do and you will get so many actions on your site, and you are having discounts anyway.
Use a referral program that will encourage your existing customers to share your products with their friends by giving discounts if the latter have purchased something from your store. With referral programs it is important to carefully set up so that you are not giving huge discounts and not getting anything back. [I recommend using one by Growave., because it is safe and it is integrated with 6 other marketing features (Reviews, Wishlist, Rewards, Social Login, Instagram, Discounts, Referral, VIP tiers) for better performance.
Hopefully, I managed to help you. If so, please let me know by liking this post.
