Feedback for our new store Switched from Magento

We had used Magento for the past 6 years or so with Ok sales. About 6 months ago we switched over to Shopify as Magento was difficult without programmer help. Sales have dropped a lot on Shopify and am asking for your help if you notice anything wrong with our site that we need to work on.

On another note I am looking for an app or a way to oversell on our site but without enabling overselling as that makes things oversell on other channels like eBay and Amazon which cant happen. On the site we had with Magento this was easy to do and we could just put "out of stock, ships in 5-7 days" which I can do in Shopify but customer cant add to cart without enabling overselling. Also looking for an app that can do attributes on product pages so we can list more infomation.

General
  • You have a lot of menu items in your navigation bar. You can try to use drop-down menus.
  • The footer section needs to be redesigned.
  • You have a contact us page with your contact information, it's so important but you have to consider adding a contact form. It makes easy for visitors to contact you.
Homepage
  • You have a newsletter box which is great. But I would recommend adding a discount code to entice your visitor to give an email address.
  • The social media icons at the footer can be opened at the new tab instead of the same tab. This will ensure your customers stay on your store while looking at your social media pages.
  • I don't recommend using only facebook messenger as a live chat. You can add a live chat app to your store. If you want to use facebook messenger put this button on the footer but put the live chat app bottom right corner of your screen. Because if your visitors didn't log in the facebook, it's hard to ask a question.
Product
  • I suggest adding a related product list, it helps to improve cross sales and the time spent on your store.

Here are some points that can be improved: 

 

  • You may want to try an orange color that is not so aggressive to the eye here - https://www.screencast.com/t/S6h4sw40V
  • Another point from a design perspective is the text that you have on the main banner image. It's kind of hard to read it in between the content of the image itself - https://www.screencast.com/t/JvPs79hZxdDz You could play around with some fonts and backgrounds here, so that the end result is more appealing to your visitors. 
  •  Same applies for the colors in the footer section https://www.screencast.com/t/EMvy8TTBPnm 
  •  I do see that you have a Facebook messenger chat at the bottom right of your website, but I do believe that you can also add a contact form in the "Contact Us" page of your website. It's natural for users to expect a Contact Form there. In that sense, you can also add a map of your physical store in the "About us" page. 
  • I would advise you to also look around for some apps that can further improve your sales in the Shopify app store - https://apps.shopify.com/ . For example, this one - http://discountonleave.apps.isenselabs.com/ will help you recover some of your leaving customers with a discount to exit intent.
