Hi there! Maggie, Shopify Expert here :)
When it comes to the theme it feels a little overwhelming - consider switching to a more minimal theme. It will help your products stand out and people will be able to see the designs clearer. Also, the side panel makes the rest of the website content feel "squished" which makes the product images display smaller. Consider picking a theme with no side panel, and displaying three items per row on the collection page. The product images will then be bigger and easier to see the details in each item.
Here are some nice free Shopify themes you can try:

The sunrise theme use to be good. I mean I've done over a 1,000 sales using it. I just feel its a little out dated and there is other themes that work better. If you want to keep this theme you really need to nail the design for it to work. Here is some videos I've done below that might help you out.
I think you really need to focus on 2-3 colors max not including black and white. Here is a color wheel canva did that would really help HERE
You want to nail this so its not so hard for visitors to navigate your website. The good thing about this theme is you can have the sidebar menu and a short main menu that displays across the top on desktop.
Overall good job. I really love your logo. Keep up the good work.
Thanks! I am waiting to hear back from the creators of the theme, as I wish I could use the header AND side bar for mobile and desktop users. I am playing around with a free theme right now. If I could just mash up the two themes, it would be perfect! My main colors are the teal, blush, and a navy blue. For the holidays, I am using a coral/green in place of my navy for now to match the mistletoe on the cat tail. And I appreciate the advice! I like the rounded elements of this theme but want to be able to use two types of menus to work for mobile/desktop users! That is the biggest downfall I have learned from this theme!
No dramas. Fair enough John Rawsterne who created the theme is a legend. I'm sure he will help you out. I've spoke to him before and has always been very helpful.
The theme its a hard one. No theme is perfect and its hard to find the right one for you. One thing you have to keep in mind is that most people use a mobile phone to browse your website. Most likely 60-70%+ and you really need to think about mobile first.
