I started a women's clothing and jewelry store in late October of 2019. Knittin Knot. It has been a pretty steep learning curve and I have made several radical changes since its inception. I only use US wholesalers after my one and only sale was a return because the product did not match the images. Recently, I have changed the color and imagery of the store. Different color buttons, moved "Our Story" to a highly visible location. Changed the homepage banner image. Added trust seals on every product page and a few other minor details.
I have gotten positive feedback from the stores Facebook page that the site is easy to navigate, but no sales.
My current Facebook ad, #12 or so, is running a carousel ad of my clothing collection and jewelry collection to very broad audience. I've gathered about 14 link clicks in 36 hours. But no sales. Customers are adding items to their cart, but I have not even gotten an abandoned checkout.
I also added one pop-up for a 15% discount (margins don't allow for very much more) and no one has taken it.
I'm fairly certain at this point its not the store, but the products. I really need some feedback. It would be immensely appreciated!
Hey Knittin Knot,
The logo alongwith the main menu and sidelinks should be shifted slightly upwards in order to avoid the unwanted white space on the header top. The central banner should also be shifted accordingly. Other peculiar points to be noted are as follows:
Hope the store performs very well after improvement and optimization.
I've taken a look at your store. I've seen many people struggle with their first stores because of various aspects of the business they have to manage (from web design to promotion tactics).
And to be honest, your website looks great as a newcomer but there’s always something that can be improved. Here's some advice that might help to increase the conversion on your pages. Let's see:
Some feedback for your products: From my personal perspective, we should think more about the niche of your products on the market since it could be very competitive to clothes we could find in any store.
That’s all for now, I hope it will help you to increase your sales. It still has a long way to go but keep trying ;)
Hi eking !
I have gone through your site. Though it looks good, there are quite a few things missing on your store which if added can really make a lot of difference to the user experience, conversion rate and your overall sales.

I`m new on this bussines, but I`l try to give my opinion.
1. I`ve tried to add reviews on my website, 2 times, and sellings go to 0. Probably because most of products had 0 reviews.
2.(a) I`ve tried also to decrease the products price with 6$ shipping, same, the sales go to 0. Now is free shipping, but I increased the products price. It`s woking for me.
3.Google Merchant Center sent me an warning about missing refund policy on my website. "Make sure to include a return and refund policy which clearly states how you handle these actions, including all requirements and any timelines. If returns and refunds are not accepted, you’ll need to clearly state this on your site.
For your convenience, we'll automatically review your products again once the deadline has passed, so you don't need to contact us after you've updated your products. ". Fix it :)
hope my english is not too bad .
Re your question 1) re no sales. Yes, it's a chicken and the egg dilemma for sure. Without sales, it's hard to show social proof to increase conversions to get sales.... One way you CAN show some activity is if you show Add to cart sales pop-up activity (hint: see my signature). Another way is to get friends and family to buy your products. You can also find some reviews for your products from your manufacturer and use them as examples for now, until you build up your own reviews with a review app. Just disclose where the review came from ideally.
My Pleasure! Happy to help you.
