Feedback on my store please - Fashion Clothing Shop

My store's been live almost 2 months now. I have posted on social discussion groups and received some useful feedback but mostly just self-promoting generic advice with ads for coaching. 


I'm posting here because it feels like we're missing something and I'm looking for some real feedback on my Shopify store. Tons of traffic and influencers asking to represent us but sales are not adding up to where everything is pointing it should be. Here is the link: (it is a Shopify store I purchased the domain)

Placement of the search bar on the top right of the header is more desirable than when it is placed on the top left for a well-organized header view. The main menu is incomplete without a "home" button at the beginning to be more logical. Other essential observations regarding store optimization are mentioned below:

  1. "Featured and New Arrivals" are a must to be included in the homepage for better site popularity and depicting peculiarity as well.
  2. Currency converter should also be placed beside the Login and Cart instead of being placed upwards.
  3. Social links need not be a part of the header when they are already included in the footer.
  4. Better brand promotion and awareness can be facilitated if we add Instagram images to the site footer.
  5. Testimonials tend to strengthen customer trust and belief.
  6. "Contact Us" section is incomplete without a "contact form".

  8. Finally, I would also recommend replacing the default search with an advanced search like Sparq which allows synonyms, advanced custom tag filters, spelling correction, and other such features. Visitors with search are high intent users and their conversion rate is higher than normal users.

It seems like you really want to improve the conversion rate on your store. I understand that generic advices doesn't help much so I'd love to give you some real feedback for your store. Let's figure it out:



Your store looks elegant, striking at first sight. However, I'm not sure if it's effective. Everything is too large so I felt a bit overwhelmed on the main site, I can only see two sections on a screen which makes it hard to overview all the collection & quickly choose the one I want.



Page speed is pretty low on mobile, you should check the details here & optimize the page based on Google page speed suggestions. I also encourage you to contact your theme provider for a better solution with page speed because as I can see it's mainly caused by coding, script of your theme.



The spacing on the navigation is not good since the space between icon & its surroundings is equal therefore it's hard to know if the icon belongs to the navigation button on the second line. Also, if you've intended to add an icon for the wishlist, you should consider to add icon for other navigation buttons as well. It will help to create consistency throughout the header part.



I found a small glitch on your product page here, when you scroll down the page, the navigation button of product image will pass through the header which is not good. With this kind of issue, you can contact to theme support to solve it  😉



On the product page, you can see that if the title is too long then the product title will look like this. It can be fixed by increasing the line height of text.


I also see that you use navigation for product pages that jump between products on your store. First I have to say that it's not the best practice from industry & second it overlaps content on your product page which can become annoying to some visitors.


One more thing, I believe we should add an area for your customers to write a review for you. That way, you can increase your brand trust to customers even when you've not had any sales yet.

Maintaining a clothing site can be little more challenging than any other store, because it is the most popular niche for online stores. I am sure you know that:) With that, however, comes high demand. Therefore, the more options (products) you have in your store, the better. i have split my feedback on your store onto Design and Functionality. Now lets get going



-on Homepage I recommend making the navi bar font slightly smaller. Since you are using a fixed static scroll, when scrolled down, the navi bar covers 1/6 part of the screen, which is not a good indicator. 


-I saw that you have a decent account on Instagram and it has gorgeous images there. You could embed an Insta gallery on the bottom of your homepage. It will not affect the minimalistic approach on your homepage, it will only make it more attractive and will help you drive traffic from Instagram. However, make sure you are not using the basic Instagram that comes within the theme, because it will throw people from your site on Instagram. I recommend using third party apps for that. 


-the Wishlist button does not look blended with the rest of the buttons and widgets on the product page. 



-On your navigation bar, you have categories listed, which kind of gives out salesy vibe. I recommend adding about us page there, to make your site cozy and friendly, That adds a lot of trustworthiness as well. 


-Implement an opportunity to log in and sign up using Social Media account. We all have accounts at least in one social media. And if I have an opportunity to create an account just with one click, I will do it. having an easier way to Sign in will help you gather customer base. The most valuable thing for a company is the customer


-add an opportunity of adding items to the wishlist from collection page. 


-pages that have reviews on them, have the review widget but the rest does not. That does not make sense to me, why don't you enable that feature on all products? 


-the items on your store are something that will most likely be purchased by one person several times.For better customer retention I recommend using Rewards program by Growave, that will give out various discounts depending on how much a person has spent on your store or how many actions he/she has completed (left a review, shared the site, created account etc.)

I have gone through your site. Though it looks good, there are quite a few things missing on your store which if added can really make a lot of difference to the user experience, conversion rate and your overall sales.


Logo & Favicon :

Logo & Favicon -- Your logo should highlight your brand name. Add a favourite icon so users can locate your webpage easily.



  1. Header -- Have a sticky header and a clear smart search bar to help users locate the products they're looking for.Also a slide out cart, a cart icon with item calculator must have features. Login icon must be there for buyer account creation before purchasing.
  2. Footer -- Optimize your footer with more professional and functional look and also highlight your newsletter sign up so people who follow your brand will receive more updates about promotions and sales. There are legal policy pages which are missing in the footer that must be included for authenticity and security purpose



A lot can be done to your homepage to make it more informative & attractive.

  1. Banners & Branding -- Add hero banner with prompt CTA buttons that syncs well with your store theme & branding. This banner should include info like free shipping, offers/deals like 50% off, etc
  2. Color, Font & Branding -- Over All Text, Font , Paragraph , Alignment , Spacing , Padding etc should be more elegant so that your store looks well-organized, neat and visually appealing. Maintain the same or similar colors and fonts throughout your store to keep your  branding intact 
  3. Featured Collection -- Add all the top featured collection on the homepage so users know the type of products you're selling on your store.
  4. Featured / Bestseller products -- Engage your customers by letting them know the bestseller products on your store                                     
  5. Testimonials -- They add to the trust factor as when customers see what other buyers have to say about your products, it makes them more sure about your brand.
  6. Highlight your USP -- What's unique about your brand that none of the other Shopify merchants have? This needs to be highlighted in your store presentation, features & more.
  7. Trust Badge on Home Page -- This is important as this helps to build trust and assures your customers that your brand is authentic



Your customer views this page to have an in-depth view of the products and services you offer.

  1. Banner adding on Collection page -- Make your collection page stand out with interesting & creative collection banners
  2. Product filter for easy navigation -- Categorize & filter products by their size, color or type so users find product to product navigation easy.
  3. Product Label -- Product labels like % off, ‘New Arrival’, ‘Sold Out’ must be there must be there for the ease of the buyer
  4. Product Showcasing -- Clear product title and description , high quality images , reviews , related products , color swatch function, grey effect for sold out products , product labels . All these features make your store much more convenient, authentic, easy to use and user friendly.
