Our store is

We are looking for feedback on the store, and if you have any suggestions or services for us to consider.  We are a seasonal, Halloween related store.  We have been live for a  month, but NO VISITORS yet.

Hey there, @LittleLinda115!  

First of all, congrats on your store. It’s exciting to launch a new store, but it’s frustrating to not get traffic. I would look at how you’re driving traffic to your store; if you’re relying solely on Google for organic traffic, you may have some issues. There are options you have for paid campaigns though that may help you bring in traffic, especially as we get closer to Halloween.

The first impression needs a little work. There are THREE pop-ups that take over when I land on your page:


It's an attack of the pop-ups. But really, you have three too many pop-ups, including one that uses a dark pattern of confirmshaming. Don’t do that. If you’re going to do anything, focus on ONE rather than all.

On that subject, your Spin to Win button covers up part of your navigation and doesn’t really fit in with your theme:


Let’s move on!


  • Load a favicon
  • Take out your UA number
  • Do you need your “Get your haunt up and running…” banner? I don’t know what it means, and it’s not linked. Basically, take it out.
  • I would center your logo so that your menu bar can be moved up. 
  • Hero image: The image quality is pretty low on desktop, and the rotating images may be hurting more than helping. I would also suggest a better CTA button. Once you get traffic, I would suggest using a click heatmap to see how people are using your hero images and CTA. 
  • Collections: I do like your focus on collections right after the hero image. My suggestion is to make sure the photos are all the same dimensions; the Chupacabra image is portrait while the rest are landscape. 
  • The IT feature: Just remove it. It’s distracting and difficult to see since it skews the page. 


  • Contact Us: Add in your linked email address. 
  • About Us: Link Design Dynamics
  • Returns & Refunds: Link your email address. And PLEASE fix your pop-ups. This is what I experienced on your Returns & Refunds page, and it’s missing an obvious way to close it (though it closes when I click out of it):


    This is happening across your site, which is making it difficult to review it! 
  • Privacy Policy: The Spin to Win button strikes again! I can’t click on it. 
  • Follow us: Add in your social links! Make sure it opens in a new tab. 
  • Location: Since you have a brick and mortar store, it may be good to include your address and phone number in case people in your area want to visit you in person. 

Main Navigation

  • My biggest issue here is that the way the collections are grouped stands out to me. You sometimes separate it by theme (Clowns, Voodoo) and then by 3D Rooms and Scenes. It doesn’t quite match for me. I would look at different ways to organize it and make it easier for visitors to find their products.
  • Again, once you start to get some visitors, make sure you use click heatmaps to see where people are clicking and session recordings to watch as they navigate across your website.
  • I would move your cart up into the header; it blends into the background too much.

Collection Pages

For reference, I’m on Dolls.

  • Lose the introduction. It’s unnecessary and pushes the products down.
  • I like that you mention that it’s easy to set up the panels, but I go one step further and SHOW how it’s done. Make a video, upload to YouTube and link to it. You could even feature it on an FAQ page.
  • Your filters need some work. It’s not helpful as it is. 

Product Pages

For reference, I’m on the Doll 19 product page.

  • Add in a shipping page here. How much can your visitors expect to pay for shipping? This is very helpful for visitors who don’t want surprises.
  • Button Colors: Update them to match your brand colors
  • Description: Don’t just copy and paste the description for your Dolls collection! Write unique descriptions for each of your products. Bring in that expertise you have and make it scream “YOU HAVE TO GET THIS!” 
  • Include important information, like how you hang it or how to care for it. 
  • Don’t forget about your reviews! Give your customers a chance to leave reviews on the products.

The good news is that Halloween is on the horizon, and people are interested in your products! As you get more visitors, watch recordings or check out heatmaps to evaluate what you can do to make your store even better. Have seen your store and have some comments for you:

- Your logo doesn't stand out on your site. 

- The banner is not fittable I think because it makes your customers don't know what to focus on. 


- Add some Quickview buttons to allow your customers to see more details faster. 


- You can try to create an Instagram gallery to show more real-life photos that people are using your products. It can encourage your customers to decide faster.

  1. Clear CTAs - help to show what to do next. Hero banner on your homepage is a key to make a connection with every visitor. You should clearly communicate what your website is about.
  2. Branding - clearly show your company branding. Logo, brand colors, brand fonts - should be the same across websites, emails, and social profiles. A key part of building your brand is making it recognizable. 
  3. Social proof - an incredibly powerful sales and lead generation tool. 
  4. Engaging images - you need them on your homepage to give visitors a sense of what your business is about. Images help you to tell a story and show visitors what they can gain from your product. For a product website think about how images can convey the value of your product and help your visitors to achieve their goals.
  5. Your google page speed score is only 57 and mobile speed 18. Low mobile page speed may kill your traffic and affect your conversation. For greater success and to deliver a great user experience you should focus on mobile score as well.Website performance impacts ranking on organic search and user experience. This problem can reduce conversions and sales. 79% of people do not wait for more than 5.3 seconds for page loading. It can lead to the losing of new visitors, less traffic, and losing repeat customers. You should always work on your CRO - increasing the percentage of users who perform a desired action on your website.
  6. If your website is credible, you’ll be able to generate more site traffic.

    One of the best ways to gain credibility is to leverage your relationships with influencers. You can approach this tactic in many different ways.

    If you have the means, you can use celebrities to promote your brand.

    That’s because these people are already known and trusted. Working with a celebrity shows your brand is legitimate. The problem is it’s obvious to consumers these celebrities are getting paid to pitch your products or services. As an alternative solution, you can use micro-influencers. One of the top reasons why I’m an advocate for using micro-influencers is because they have high engagement rates with their followers.

  7. If your website doesn’t have a blog already, make creating one a priority. But if you have a blog, it gives people a reason to keep coming back. Blogs also help improve your SEO because you’re constantly adding new content to your page.
  8. Try adding SEO related high search keywords in your title and product description so that it will be very easy to market your products and display them at the top in google search.
  9. Homepage designs guides your visitors around your website. To engage visitors you need to work on homepage layout design.  Include trust indicators on the homepage. Homepage content should be strategically decided.
  10. 90% of people read reviews before purchasing an item. I personally do not read the description too much, I go straight on to the reviews section because that is social proof. In my opinion that is essential for every site. I highly recommend (almost insist) and adding that feature on your site. You can use Growave for that, it offers automated emails within the Reviews feature as well.
  11. Imagine if you saw something that you quite like in the store, however you want to browse more, get more options, and then choose the best one. That often happens to me, because I am indecisive. That is when Wishlist comes in handy. Since you have a lot of products on your site, I recommend adding that feature to improve the user experience on your site. Besides, if the items on the wishlist have not been purchased, automated emails will be sent out as a reminder.
  12. Social media has become a huge thing nowadays. I highly recommend taking advantage of that and adding Instagram galleries on your homepage. It will help drive traffic from your site on to your account and vice versa.
  13. Implement an opportunity to log in and sign up using Social Media account. We all have accounts at least in one social media. And if I have an opportunity to create an account just with one click, I will do it. having an easier way to Sign in will help you gather customer base. The most valuable thing for a company is the customer
  14. The items on your store are something that will most likely be purchased by one person several times. For better customer retention I recommend using Rewards program by Growave, that will give out various discounts depending on how much a person has spent on your store or how many actions he/she has completed (left a review, shared the site, created an account, etc.)
  15. The sale you have seems to be a nice deal, however, when you make such a big amount off it might devalue your product. People always need to know why you have made such sales, is it a seasonal sale? or is it because there is no demand for it? Does that mean the product is bad? 

    Instead of giving a discount for nothing, give them rewards for completing certain actions on your store ex. for creating accounts, for leaving a review, for sharing your site, for spending money on your site. It is not difficult for a user to do and you will get so many actions on your site, and you are having discounts anyway.
  16. Use a referral program that will encourage your existing customers to share your products with their friends by giving discounts if the latter have purchased something from your store. With referral programs it is important to carefully set up so that you are not giving huge discounts and not getting anything back. Hope your business is going well during these difficult times. I checked your store website, and I have a few tips and feedback I'd like to share:

1. Resourceful guidance & help: Not having support or not having adequate information is a huge frustration for a lot of online buyers. Consider adding a chat plugin to your site for people to contact you while they are shopping.

Add a favicon to your website. It will help you strengthen your brand and to add a polished look to your website.

Add Wishlist to your website. They are a great way to alert customers about a sale, drive traffic to your site. Also you can do more target oriented email campaigns. Also Add to Cart and Checkout Page needs to have a bit more planning - like giving users a visual checkout process, and option to continue shopping from the checkout page.

4. Adding product stickers/trust badges can help increase your sales by tapping into powerful psychological triggers such as scarcity, social proof, and urgency. Also having graphic and personalized stickers on products will help grab the attention of customers easily and nudge them to purchase
