Hi can I get feedback on my store before I open?

There are a lot of options which customers have when it comes to Purchasing anything. Therefore you always need to be different from others in order to increase the conversion rate.

Let me walk you through some of the  points which will help you improve.

1. As you're dealing in various categories of products, make different collection so that it's easy for the customers to go through them.

2. The space in the right side of logo should be utilized and not left empty. 

3. There can be section of featured products, bestsellers, New arrivals, etc in the body. ]

A strong social media presence is a crucial base component to include in any branding efforts. The addition of "Twitter and Linked in" to the footer would contribute to the overall customer association."Facebook and Instagram" social links should be situated in the footer as well. Besides that, The search bar should be situated on the top right of the header instead of the top left. Some other suggestions of mine for optimizing your store to the fullest are as follows:

  1. Promotional discounts in the form of "coupon codes and discount coupons" are a must for engaging customers in a better way.
  2. An Account login/sign-in system should be added to the top right of the header as it is a must for an ecommerce.
  3. In order to be aware of the latest store trends and product designs, "New Arrivals" must be added to the homepage.
  4. The pink header template should be utilized for highlighting attractive discounts or free shipping offers instead.
  5. A "Contact form" is a must in the "Contact Us" section.
  6. Enhancement of customer choice can be rightly made if we add product reviews below each item.
  7. Trust and belief of the customers can be better enhanced if we add Instagram images and Testimonials to the site footer.
  8. Keeping a stock of all discounted items is better possible only if we add the "Sale" section to the main menu.
  9. You should add terms and conditions and FAQ’s if any, again these also help in building search engine content.

I have gone through your site. Though it looks good, there are quite a few things missing on your store which if added can really make a lot of difference to the user experience, conversion rate and your overall sales.


Logo & Favicon :

Logo & Favicon -- Your logo should highlight your brand name. Add a favourite icon so users can locate your webpage easily.



  1. Header -- Have a sticky header and a clear smart search bar to help users locate the products they're looking for.Also a slide out cart, a cart icon with item calculator must have features. Login icon must be there for buyer account creation before purchasing.
  2. Footer -- Optimize your footer with more professional and functional look and also highlight your newsletter sign up so people who follow your brand will receive more updates about promotions and sales. There are legal policy pages which are missing in the footer that must be included for authenticity and security purpose



A lot can be done to your homepage to make it more informative & attractive.

  1. Banners & Branding -- Add hero banner with prompt CTA buttons that syncs well with your store theme & branding. This banner should include info like free shipping, offers/deals like 50% off, etc
  2. Color, Font & Branding -- Over All Text, Font , Paragraph , Alignment , Spacing , Padding etc should be more elegant so that your store looks well-organized, neat and visually appealing. Maintain the same or similar colors and fonts throughout your store to keep your  branding intact 
  3. Featured Collection -- Add all the top featured collection on the homepage so users know the type of products you're selling on your store.
  4. Featured / Bestseller products -- Engage your customers by letting them know the bestseller products on your store                                     
  5. Testimonials -- They add to the trust factor as when customers see what other buyers have to say about your products, it makes them more sure about your brand.
  6. Highlight your USP -- What's unique about your brand that none of the other Shopify merchants have? This needs to be highlighted in your store presentation, features & more.
  7. Trust Badge on Home Page -- This is important as this helps to build trust and assures your customers that your brand is authentic

  1. Banner adding on Collection page -- Make your collection page stand out with interesting & creative collection banners
  2. Product filter for easy navigation -- Categorize & filter products by their size, color or type so users find product to product navigation easy.
  3. Product Label -- Product labels like % off, ‘New Arrival’, ‘Sold Out’ must be there must be there for the ease of the buyer
  4. Product Showcasing -- Clear product title and description , high quality images , reviews , related products , color swatch function, grey effect for sold out products , product labels . All these features make your store much more convenient, authentic, easy to use and user friendly.

Hello @Npickering00, You need to make your store professional. 

1. Add a call to action button on the slider images. You need to make your store easy to navigate.

2. Add policies in the footer. Provide contact information.

3. You will get traffic through paid ads but make sure your store is engaging enough to capture visitors and convert them into paying customers. If your store is not engaging then visitors will bounce back from your store and conversions will be low. 

4. You need to engage your visitors coming on your site by giving loyalty reward points which will increase repeat purchase and customer lifetime value, chatbot, email marketing, web push notification, reviews and many other. It will help you to run your store smoothly and decrease the bounce rate.

Site Critique

  • I really dislike this empty white space and the first thing I would do is remove it. 
  • You only have Home and Shop as options in your site navigation. What about a persuasive About Us? Or creating an FAQ page? You can learn how to create all sorts of great pages here
  • I also want to know more about the business and its mission statement! You should populate your landing page with lots of awesome information on why Blingbykey is the place to shop. 

Product Critique

  • Your product titles are too long and look to be the default titles imported from a supplier. Make sure to edit these and make them palatable for your audience. 
  • I can definitely see the common threads in the products, but I would love to see them grouped together in suitable collections. You can learn how to set up collections here


  • How are you planning to market this business? Who is your ideal customer? Have you developed a marketing strategy
