Hello guys,


I need your honest feedback. I founded a new T-Shirt Onlinestore and get no sales. My favourite area where I want to sell are Germany and Austria. I placed advertisment in facebook and instagram and generated views and clicks but actualy I haven´t won any new customer yet.


Do I have a wron layout (theme) for my shop? What can I improve to get sales? Any other feedback for me?

Your store looks captivating. You should make your store interactive to get more conversions and sales. Ads will help you to get traffic and a good amount of visitors to the store and for converting that traffic into sales, make sure your store is engaging enough to entice your customers.


- Give Loyalty points and rewards to the customers. Use Email marketing, customer segmentation which will help you to send targeted emails with workflow automation. Loyalty points can be given on activities like signing up, allowing for push notifications, visiting a store, leaving a review. This will help you to entice your visitors and will also increase the number of push subscribers, reviews, newsletter subscribers. A loyalty program helps in increasing sales and increase the retention rate.

Wunderbar! Your site is very neat and easy to browse in. You did great job at telling your customer what you are offering right away.  

I have been exploring your site for a little while and here are a couple of things you might want to keep in mind when having an online T-Shirt store. 


First, you have to be aware that selling T-shirts is not unique. Roughly saying, probably 15% of Shopify stores sell in that exact same niche. Be ready to face lots of competitors even if you are aiming for Germany and Austria only.  Make sure you work on your business plan and understand for yourself why a person has to buy a T-shirt for almost 20 Euros instead of going to local Primark? Once you have that set, let people know as well. Highlight your advantages and why it is the best thing a person can find online. 


When you have that, you can adjust your site to that. 


1. The very first thing you want is a positive user experience. For that, make your site user -friendly, add some tools to ease the process of purchase. 

Implement an opportunity to log in and sign up using Social Media account. We all have accounts at least in one social media. And if I have an opportunity to create an account just with one click, I will do it. having an easier way to Sign in will help you gather customer base. The most valuable thing foe a company is the customers:) 

Add reviews to create social proof on your site. I would love to read other people's opinion on the product before paying for it.

2 Think about the prices. 

I think you understand that there are brands that sell T-shirt for 5 bucks. Find something that distinguishes your brand from them. Also, consider adding a bigger variety of clothing, such as baseball shirts or baggy T-shirts, something that is trendy now.

P.S. In the About u section, I love how personal and sincere this line is

"New arrivals" should be a part of the main menu for keeping customers informed regarding the latest trends and designs. The "Discounts or Free shipping" offers should be highlighted in the center of the header template rather than the left corner. Other important observations regarding store improvement are as follows:

  1. The logo as well as the sidelinks like Login or Create Account and Shopping cart should have first letter capital.
  2. To avoid the excessive white spacing on both sides, the central banner should be full width.
  3. Logo is quite simple, which can be made more professional by changing font style and adding an impression of graphics.
  4. "Twitter" and "Linked in" should be added to the footer social links for better customer association.
  5. "Sale" section should be a part of the main menu for keeping all discounted items together.
  6. For helping the customers decide better, product reviews are a must below each item.
  7. Instagram images and Testimonials help in instant brand promotion.

I have gone through your site. Though it looks good, there are quite a few things missing on your store which if added can really make a lot of difference to the user experience, conversion rate and your overall sales.


Logo & Favicon :

Logo & Favicon -- Your logo should highlight your brand name. Add a favourite icon so users can locate your webpage easily.



  1. Header -- Have a sticky header and a clear smart search bar to help users locate the products they're looking for.Also a slide out cart, a cart icon with item calculator must have features. Login icon must be there for buyer account creation before purchasing.
  2. Footer -- Optimize your footer with more professional and functional look and also highlight your newsletter sign up so people who follow your brand will receive more updates about promotions and sales. There are legal policy pages which are missing in the footer that must be included for authenticity and security purpose



A lot can be done to your homepage to make it more informative & attractive.

  1. Banners & Branding -- Add hero banner with prompt CTA buttons that syncs well with your store theme & branding. This banner should include info like free shipping, offers/deals like 50% off, etc
  2. Color, Font & Branding -- Over All Text, Font , Paragraph , Alignment , Spacing , Padding etc should be more elegant so that your store looks well-organized, neat and visually appealing. Maintain the same or similar colors and fonts throughout your store to keep your  branding intact 
  3. Featured Collection -- Add all the top featured collection on the homepage so users know the type of products you're selling on your store.
  4. Featured / Bestseller products -- Engage your customers by letting them know the bestseller products on your store                                     
  5. Testimonials -- They add to the trust factor as when customers see what other buyers have to say about your products, it makes them more sure about your brand.
  6. Highlight your USP -- What's unique about your brand that none of the other Shopify merchants have? This needs to be highlighted in your store presentation, features & more.
  7. Trust Badge on Home Page -- This is important as this helps to build trust and assures your customers that your brand is authentic

  1. Banner adding on Collection page -- Make your collection page stand out with interesting & creative collection banners
  2. Product filter for easy navigation -- Categorize & filter products by their size, color or type so users find product to product navigation easy.
