Help/feedback on new store

I was hoping to get some feedback on my new store . I am using original artwork to create home decor items like wall art and some decor accent products. It is almost all POD. I have been getting some traffic, mostly through FB ads, but only a couple sales. I have gone to free shipping and trying a 10% off promo, but can't get conversions. Thinking of trying some Google Shopping ads. Any help advice is sooo appreciated.  I am thinking my products/art might not be appealing enough. Thanks!

Even with a good CTR or tons of traffic, if people are not buying then it's not the right traffic. Not all traffic is created equal. The one thing we tell each client is that you can get traffic of all kinds but that does not mean it's the right traffic for your store.

Your products are pretty unique and they are not going to appeal to everyone. It's going to take time to find out who the right audience for your products are. Here are some ways to make your store even better and make people want to purchase.

Homepage Feedback

  1. If you are going to have aFeatured Product section on your homepage. Write about why you picked these products and sell them

  2. Any section that don't have product, shower curtains, I would remove them for now.

Product Page  Feedback

  1. Add a longer product description as this is how you convince someone to buy on your site. Plus it helps with SEO and ranking in organic search

  2. Move your payment logos to your footer

  3. Add a section at the bottom of product pages to show your most viewed/bought items from the site. This can help increase your average order value

  4. Add a section for customer reviews when you get them. This helps build social proof

  5. Add links to your shipping and return/refund policy on each product page

  6. Make a sizing chart page and link to it from your product pages and in the footer

Your store just needs some tweaks to take it up a level.  Hope you found this helpful, if so please click "like" below to let me know.

As Duane mentioned, you have very unique products and it becomes pretty hard when it comes to advertising.

When you advertise on Google Shopping, the only way to show interest is to allow brand awareness search terms, such as weekender bag, trow pillow etc... The issue with allowing to bid on these search terms is that they are very generic, and will cost a lot of money with most likely no sales.

I have a few clients where they sell very specific products, and here you need to do a lot of brand awareness which means you need to have a budget for at least a year to make sure you can continue advertising regardless of return. With this, you need to also advertise on other areas at the same time so you can keep the momentum going of brand awareness. Here it is important that you clearly identify your brand.

I recommend you start off with building your brand, clearly place yourself in the market, by having clear niche, direction, brand focus etc...

Hope this helps.

Hi rustydigs,

  • I can't see any email, phone number, or address on the contact us page.
  • The footer section needs to be redesigned.
  • I didn't see an About Us page. You can create one. It helps to improve relations with you and customers.

  • As a standard, your hero image should end before the fold. It looks big now and i can't see CTA button.
  • You have a newsletter box which is great. But I would recommend adding a discount code to entice your visitor to give an email address.
  • The social media icons at the footer can be opened at the new tab instead of the same tab. This will ensure your customers stay on your store while looking at your social media pages.

  • I suggest removing the trust seals on each product page. They don't help your brand. I recommend putting these seals in the footer.
