I could use some advice

Hi everyone,

I have been get traffic to my store and zero conversions.  I have had some abandoned carts and declined credit card atttempts.

I would like to improve my site to increase conversion rate.  From what I've read 2.5% is an average conversion rate.

I just changed my theme 2 days ago as the theme I was using had ranked very low on page speed tests. This theme ranks much better and have noticed I am getting more page views per visitor.

I recently added "Make an Offer" to my product page and remove a pop up in the bottom right hand corner which I found annoying so I can't imagine what visitors thought.  I know there is still room for improvement but I am unsure where to go from here.

Thanks for the feedback!

Hi there,

Your store looks really great, but it doesn't seem to have a branding. You should come up with a nice logo.

I don't like the ''About us'' section in the home page. It should be on a solo page and you could add more text and story.

For the abandoned carts you can use Flashchat.

Finally, I would suggest you use a countdown app for the items you have on sale (i.e. 4 remaining etc).

Good luck!

Hey there,

Bo here from Shopify Support!

Thank you so much for reaching out. I work a look at your site and I really like what you have done with your theme. It is really well put together and easy to navigate and most importantly - it looks really professional so very well done on that front. There are definitely a few things we can do to improve on your store to help you get those conversions.

The first thing I always look at when giving feedback on stores is the product descriptions. You have done a fantastic job in curating your products and establishing your niche however one look at your descriptions and it is pretty obvious that this is a dropshipping site. Anyone who is familiar with AliExpress or Oberlo will spot this right away and in doing so they will know that they can get the products cheaper elsewhere.

With online stores, there are no sales representatives and so the products literally need to speak for themselves. Instead of listing your products' specs in your current format you should try writing descriptions that persuade the customer to buy the item. Why do they need this bag? How will it make their life better? I recommend taking a look at Oberlo's guide on writing a product description that sells here. This will also help you improve your SEO which will bring more traffic to your store organically.

Trust is an incredibly important part of running an online store, it is the most important currency a business deals in. Being able to contact you will really help your customer feel like they can trust you and while it is great that you have contact information in your footer it would make it easier is having a contact page that makes it super easy for your customer to get in touch. You can read up on creating a contact page here.

Let me know how this goes and if there is anything else I can assist you with, I'm happy to help

All the Best,
Bo

Hi,

Just checked out your store and found this product page with several error images in Chinese: https://www.yourbagandaccessorystore.com/collections/tote-bags/products/womens-large-tote-bag

You should check your product descriptions again. These images will break the trust between you and your customers.

Thank you.  I have missed that one and have removed those images.  I will be going through all my product pages again as I update the descriptions.

I have made several changes to my site based on the feedback I have recieved. My add to carts has increased and have had a conversion since.

I have added customer reviews, alithough I don't think I like the pictures.  I'm not sure if I should remove them.

I am still working on going through all the products, removing wording on images and trying to write good product descriptions but I have a very hard time writing them.

I changed "Shipping calucated at checkout" to "Free Shipping" with a link to shipping information.

I added McAffe Verified to build trust.

I have the cart button shake occassionaly but not sure if I like that.

I'm not sure if I should make any more changes to the site itself right now or focus on product descriptions.
