Hi,
I am new to Shopify store and just finished setting up the store. I am a photographer and want to sell my photos.
Please take a look at my store and please let me know what I need to fix. I have had some traffics but the first sale has not been made yet.
Thank you so much for your help in advance.
Eric
Hey Elee Photography,
"Homepage is the key area of the user journey of any ecommerce store".Hence, it needs to be "eye-catching" in order to convince the user to buy. Pay attention to the below tips to improve your sales rate:
All the best!

Hi Eric! Maggie, Shopify Expert here :)
Great niche and the taglines are very appealing now in the current situation, so well done.
The logo is tasteful, though I would get rid of the black border and make the text bigger and easier to read - it is too small and hard to read at the moment:
The hero image looks awesome - consider also adding a CTA [call to action] here: Shop now or Browse Collections. Link the CTA to the relevant collection to prompt people click it and shop. It will boost your conversion rate further:
The Cat Pillow featured image on the homepage is rather confusing after you promised to take your visitors on the trip around the world:
It doesn't match the tagline in the hero image you showed earlier. Perhaps one of your products with the travel images would be better suited here?
I noticed your Refund policy still contains default Shopify content. It might sabotage your SEO score due to the duplicate content issue. Consider writing a unique policy here instead of featuring default Shopify policy, which mentions items you are not selling:
It will help you build trust, tailor the content to your own store and avoid any duplicate content issues, which might affect your Google rank.
About us page - links to a blog post with just one sentence.
About us page is a great way to build rapport with your visitors - people like shopping from the brands they know and trust. Consider adding more info to this page with info about your company, and about yourself. It can help you improve your conversion rate. It’s a great place to introduce yourself and tell your visitors who’s behind the scenes. Make sure to add a photo of yourself as well, as it further builds a rapport and trust.
Also, make sure to SEO optimize this page [and all other pages] on your website with SEO friendly H tags, internal and external links, and more. The page at the moment feels like a block of text, so it would be a good idea to break it off with heading tags [H tags], bolded key phrases, bullet points etc. It will improve the user-experience, which is very important for Google.
It’s essential to optimize your website from the very start [or as early as possible] to help you rank quicker for your target keywords. If you’re not sure how to do it, please check this FREE video course: How to SEO your website and get to Google #1 in 3 Months.
Shipping policy - that’s an important trust signal, so consider adding this page. Include a table with the delivery rates at the top, so people know right away how much you are charging, and whether you ship internationally or not. Many online shoppers often look for this info before placing an order, to find out the shipping cost, so having a detailed policy can also help you boost your conversion rate.
Contact us page - this is another important trust signal. Make sure to add it as a separate page linked from the menu, as people will want to know they can easily contact you with any questions.
The collection and product page look excellent - well done!
Consider making your URLs more SEO-friendly. Your current URLs are too long:https://eleephotographyshop.com/collections/san-salvador-el-salvador/products/san-salvador-el-salvad...
It’s difficult for the search engines to read and understand them, which makes it more challenging for them to rank your site in the most relevant search results.
Make sure to make your URLs shorter and easier to understand, like this:https://eleephotographyshop.com/collections/el-salvador/products/san-salvador-wood-print
Can you see why the shorter URL is easier to read and understand? Optimizing your URLs this way can help you improve your SEO further. You can change URLs [handles] by editing the SEO section of each product [bottom of the page when editing product].
Your SEO score is only 48/100:
The Google snippet is not optimized yet:
It doesn't mention the travel merchandise - it feels like you have changed niche recently from photography to print on demand? Make sure to specify it in your Google snippets as well.
Here are a few guides that might help:

Dear Eric,
Congratulation for your store.
I’ve gone through your store and found that there are quite a few things missing on your store which if added can really make a lot of difference to the user experience, conversion rate and your overall sales. Here is a page-by-page/sectional review of your site:

Hey @eleephoto,
Welcome to the Shopify family,
Tip: I suggest you try adding some kind of stickers to showcase stuff like trending, running out fast, back in stock, hot seller etc. Apps in Shopify app store can help with this by making the process very easy & simple. Also having some more trending or sale products in Home page will quickly grab customers attention. This will help you to grab customer attention & nudge faster purchase decisions
Your constant goal as a store (online or offline) is to quickly make a passerby become a shopper.
Try out this and let me know if you want any further help, I'm always happy to help.

Hello @eleephoto,
I've taken a look at your store. Nice products! I've some suggestions to increase the conversion rate.
1. The store logo seems to be too small.
2. Add product reviews as most of the customers read the review before purchasing the product.
3. Add a form in Contact Us page for better customer interaction.
4. Add favicon to your store which is a small square image/logo that appears next to a web address. Favicon helps to strengthen your brand and add a polished look to your website.
5. You can add testimonials on the home page to make the store look more professional.
6. A FAQ would be useful!
7. Discounts and limited-time offers will help to increase sales.
8. Add 'New Arrivals' section to help customers keep updated on new products.
Before you think of ranking you should ensure your pages are found (indexed by Google). You can submit your store content regularly to all the major engines, or consider using a convenient tool like flare by Mansion Ecommerce. flare automatically detects site changes and verifiably informs major search engines like Google & Bing. Plus! only flare can submit individual URLs to Google & Bing, allowing your prioritized pages to be indexed first and fast.
Hope this was helpful!
