Hello There 


I started my store 4 month ago and so far 32 orders and spent almost 6 k on facebook ads

so my conversion rate is so low as I get a lot of traffic without sales

my store is general store I have more than 3 k products 

so everyone advised me to pick a niche and don't go with general store 

But I like to have a store to sell  a unique products that they cant find in walmart for example

so I am thinking to sell only 40 or 30 products , general but unique , as I don't know which niche to start

so is this a good Idea

I think you need to make the site simply and easy to navigate. There is lots of things lacking on your website that you need to convert visitors into sales. 


I'd probably go down to 20 products and really build out good product descriptions etc. Focus on a small group of products and once they start working you can upgrade to more products.

If you are getting views this surely means visitors are interested to buy from your store, however they might not have found your store appealing, though it's a gem of a store but surely you can work on few aspects mentioned down below which will help you in settling UI and overall functionality which will build trust for visitors and eventually drive you a lot better sales.


  1. .For engaging new customers, add a section of best-selling products.

  2. For some sales in the start, you need to offer some discounts to get going as a promotional offer.
    Also, it would be great if you can create a separate sale page for discounted products.

  3. Add a detailed product description for accuracy and clarity.
  4. Also, You have around 1589 products and sure you might add a few more as its just a start for you visitor might feel hard to find the right product.
    Also your search page is bit off and empty*  Don't you think if suggestions are offered to search bar, there will be a lot of chances for a visitor to buy from your store?
    I would recommend to replace the default search with advanced search like Sparq which allows synonyms, advanced custom tag filters, spelling correction and other such feature. Visitors with search are high intent users and their conversion rate is higher than normal users.

Your store seems to get right on track, I totally agree with Clayton’s feedback you could start with some products and when they get sales you can start upgrading the quantity. I feel like your homepage could be more organize and more catchy to the eyes.

There are many tools for conducting product market research, but I would recommend you to use Google Trends and Allfactor Analytics since their data is the most comprehensive and valuable for competitive intelligence. Other tools like Ecomhunt and Nichescrpaer basically just listing cheap and repetitive Aliexpress products which are useless in my opinion.
