Jewelry Store Feedback (Please HELP!)

Hello, 

I started a small online jewelry store in July. I get some traffic (20~30 per day) through Pinterest Ads that I used with the free $100 credit from Shopify, but I haven't had any orders yet. I will start marketing more aggressively soon (ie. Instagram), but I'm really desperate to know why my conversion rate is 0%... Please help..! Any kind of feedback or advice would be greatly appreciated!! Also, I will gladly give feedback to your store

Your store looks quite professional and beautiful, and I like your products. And I also would like to provide some recommendations for your store and I hope this can help you with my conversion rate optimization and design experiment 

Add a favicon to your store.

1. Home page 

1.1 Make the sticky header

A sticky menu header helps customers to reach out to the menu and access the menu anytime they want. Especially, the menu has a search bar, and making a search bar prominent is very important. This helps customers feel rest assured and they can search anytime when they scroll up or down on the home page. 

And if you see my screenshot below, the search bar is not too attractive because currently there are some buttons which probably make customers confused. Therefore, you need to notice that on the home page, there should be only one principal call to action button. So you can be slow down to check my recommendation 1.2

1.2 Add a call to action button on the image banner

A primary call to action button is one of the important things for a home page of an online store. With this button, you will redirect customers to the page you want them to take action mostly. This really helps to increase the conversion rate for your store.

You have a high-quality image and this's a really good point. 

1.3 Add customer's review

People love proof, especially when they visit a store and see many good reviews, they will be willing to shop! So you should add testimonial/product reviews on your store. They can be placed for each product or even a review collection on your home page. Check this guide to know more its benefit and how to make it effective. 

1.4 Add social media

You can consider adding your store's social such as Instagram, etc with images. This is a good way to connect you better with your customers and keep them updating.

I also notice that you put your store's social media on the footer but it is less attractive, therefore I recommend you should add social media account with images, for example, Instagram feed. 

1.5 Add return policy on the footer

Many customers want to know the return policy info before making purchases. And this is crucial to their decision on whether to purchase products in your store. And they are likely to find it on the footer so it's necessary to add this information. 

2. Collection page

2.1 Add secondary hover image on each product image

By adding secondary hover images on each product image, customers can see a different image of each product and this provides more information as a visual aspect for customers and this also helps them to compare different products in a collection.

2.2 Consider changing the pagination to the Load more button

Instead of switching to many pages, go and back, you can replace the pagination by a Load more button. Therefore, customers do not have to change too many pages to see all products, they can press the Load more button to see all products on 1 page. This helps customers easily compare many products and see the wide range of your collection.

3. Improve SEO

You definitely need quality content, even headline, product title, description to increase the ranking on the search engine. You can try to do some keywords research and improve those, you can check this guide to know more about how to write content to drive sales

 

Above are my recommendations for your store and it's really important to customize attractive and unique pages to increase conversion rate.

  1. Clear CTAs - help to show what to do next. Hero banner on your homepage is a key to make a connection with every visitor. You should clearly communicate what your website is about.
  2. Branding - clearly show your company branding. Logo, brand colors, brand fonts - should be the same across websites, emails, and social profiles. A key part of building your brand is making it recognizable. 
  3. Social proof - an incredibly powerful sales and lead generation tool. 
  4. Engaging images - you need them on your homepage to give visitors a sense of what your business is about. Images help you to tell a story and show visitors what they can gain from your product. For a product website think about how images can convey the value of your product and help your visitors to achieve their goals.
  5. Add a favicon
  6. If your website doesn’t have a blog already, make creating one a priority. But if you have a blog, it gives people a reason to keep coming back. Blogs also help improve your SEO because you’re constantly adding new content to your page.
  7. Try adding SEO related high search keywords in your title and product description so that it will be very easy to market your products and display them at the top in google search.
  8. 90% of people read reviews before purchasing an item. I personally do not read the description too much, I go straight on to the reviews section because that is social proof. In my opinion that is essential for every site. I highly recommend (almost insist) and adding that feature on your site. You can use Growave for that, it offers automated emails within the Reviews feature as well.
  9. Imagine if you saw something that you quite like in the store, however you want to browse more, get more options, and then choose the best one. That often happens to me, because I am indecisive. That is when Wishlist comes in handy. Since you have a lot of products on your site, I recommend adding that feature to improve the user experience on your site. Besides, if the items on the wishlist have not been purchased, automated emails will be sent out as a reminder.
  10. Social media has become a huge thing nowadays. I highly recommend taking advantage of that and adding Instagram galleries on your homepage. It will help drive traffic from your site on to your account and vice versa.
  11. Implement an opportunity to log in and sign up using Social Media account. We all have accounts at least in one social media. And if I have an opportunity to create an account just with one click, I will do it. having an easier way to Sign in will help you gather customer base. The most valuable thing for a company is the customer
  12. Use a referral program that will encourage your existing customers to share your products with their friends by giving discounts if the latter have purchased something from your store. With referral programs it is important to carefully set up so that you are not giving huge discounts and not getting anything back. Nice site! This is not my type of jewelry but I like your choices, and the good news is that a lot of people like this kind of jewelry. Mind you, there is a ocean of jewelry out there. It takes time and you will find what works and what doesn't.

Here's my critique. The first thing I notice when I log on to your page is that I don't know if you're are the jeweler. There is no way to find out where this jewelry comes from. I would find a way to make it more personable, create a story. If you resale this jewelry become the curator,  the collector. People are looking for personable online. Even though you site is pristine, there is no one there to greet you there. You have to bring people in. Create some kind of brand to your product.
