Looking For Feedback On My Store

Hi! I have been getting some visitors to my site daily, and a few add-to-carts, but no one is purchasing. I've made some test purchases to check out delivery, etc. but that is all that has happened so far. I appreciate all of your help and time in advance!

  • One thing that I noticed is there are so many options that welcome visitors, which feels kinda uncomfortable. I felt like I don't know which option to choose from. A store should make visitors feel comfortable in my honest opinion. You can check this #1 performing store that was highlighted by Spotify last year. They only show you 3 options. Maybe you should try categorizing those options into 3 large options.
  • Another thing is the store lacks a story. You have written "made locally", but we cannot see a picture of who makes the products. I have seen a mask store with an image of an old lady making them with her hand and immediately bought one.  
  • You said that people add the products into their cart, which is fantastic, but don't buy them. I think the buying process is really long. I'd try to put shipping and credit card info into one page rather than two to decrease friction.

Hope your business is going well during these difficult times. I checked your store website, and I have a few tips and feedback I'd like to share,

1. Show off the products: People tend to rely on engaging visuals to help drive their purchases. Since online buyers do not have the option to experience your products in-person, it's important to draw them in with great product photos, and right now your images are of low-res and small. More on visual cues that can help make your store a better shopping experience can be read here.

2. Good navigation provides an improved user experience leading to more sales and revenue. Add a top navigation bar with the product catalog broken down into different collections & categories so that customers can quickly browse and reach their desired products faster. Also, have an auto-complete and suggestion feature in the search bar so that it provides an extra helping hand to relatable collections and products will also be useful.

3. Add Wishlist to your website. They are a great way to alert customers about a sale, drive traffic to your site. Also you can do more target oriented email campaigns. Also Add to Cart and Checkout Page needs to have a bit more planning - like giving users a visual checkout process, and option to continue shopping from the checkout page.

4. Adding product stickers/trust badges can help increase your sales by tapping into powerful psychological triggers such as scarcity, social proof, and urgency. Also having graphic and personalised stickers on products will help grab attention of customers easily and nudge them to purchase.

Hello @BetsysUSA, I hope you are doing well! Here are some ways to make your store even better and make people want to purchase:

The home page should flow better. I would recommend setting it out like this. Slideshow Image- Collection List- Product Recommendations- Testimonials- Newsletter sign up box- Instagram Feed.

- You need to engage your visitors coming to your site by giving loyalty reward points which will increase repeat purchase and customer lifetime value. You can add a web push notification which will help you to retarget your customers anytime even when they are not in your store. This will help you to run your store smoothly and decrease the bounce rate and will capture your visitors and convert them into prospective or paying customers. You will be able to retain your customers for the long term.

Add exit-intent popup. Track when someone is about to leave your website and show the visitor exit-intent popup with attractive offers and coupon code to complete the purchase.
