Hey everyone! I'm new to shopify and owning my own business, but I just opened my store about 2 weeks ago. So far I've had about 5 sales, but I'm curious to see why I have so many visitors and not purchases. I've set up mostly only Pinterest ads at this point, and I am working on optimizing SEO. Any advice helps so much, as I'm open to anything I could be doing wrong. Thanks ya'll!
Have seen your site and it looks great.
In your case, I think you need to dig in more about your data.
You have to answer those questions:
- How long do your customers stay on your site?
- What page do you visit the most? How long each page?
- Add to Cart numbers? Abandoned Carts?
Also, you need to research your competitors.
If you can point out one problem right now, this could be lacking social proof. There are some ways that can help you increase your social proof:
- Add Reviews section (on your homepage). Photos and video reviews would be great.
- Add an Instagram gallery where you can show your Instagram content.
- Add Live chat support.
If you want to have an Instagram Gallery, check this app Shoppable Instagram Gallery.
On your product pages, you need to add:
- Buy now button
- The Sticky Add to Cart bar
- More Upsell and Cross-sell methods like product bundles.
In the future, if you want to provide your customers with PDF invoices, the app Drag and Drop PDF invoices will help you do that with
Hope this helps!
Hello @cozyhabit, I hope you are doing good! The store looks great. Here are some ways to make your store even better and make people want to purchase:
- Add testimonials on the homepage.
- Add product description. Mention about the material, size guide, wash & care.
- Add bestsellers, new arrivals, trending now. Give product recommendations by personalizing the shopping experience.
Add some essential marketing tools to engage visitors and convert them into paying customers:
- Add a chatbot to make sure you never lose any of your customers. Every visitor can be your customer.
- Add a referral program, it helps in increasing sales and creates brand awareness. You can ask your customers to refer a product to their friends and family. When the product is referred by some known, people tend to purchase the product. The referral program helps in increasing sales. You can give a reward for referring the product.
- You can add a countdown timer to create urgency for your promotions or offers with the countdown timer bar and motivate your customers to buy more from the store. It helps in increasing sales.
- Make sure to enable automatic workflow emails/push for abandoned cart, win back old customers, welcome email, purchase follow-up, or browse abandoned customers.
Hope this helps!
If you are looking to implement customer engagement or marketing tools in your store. I would recommend you to install the all in one Shopify app AiTrillion. You can check it out. I am sure you will find it useful.
Hope the following suggestions will help you
Your store is magnificent congratulations. Regarding the issue of lack of conversions, high sales time is approaching due to the upcoming holiday season, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday but we are living in a world of fierce competition too so Cart abandonment and shop exits will also be at their peak. I would recommend you to integrate some apps in order to track and tackle your store's cart abandonment and exits. Make your store interactive and offer some incentives.
So In-store marketing strategies are highly important because getting traffic to the website is the first half and the second challenge is to convert that traffic into paying customers. I can recommend you wheelify that will gamify your store and will allow you to fire the game discount pop up i.e. a trigger when the potential user is about to exit the store. It helps in capturing the email ids of the users for your future marketing programs and engages the user to play the simple Spin a wheel game to earn a discount. This will help your conversions.
Moreover, in these high times of sales, establish social proof by showing recent sales notifications to your audience. You can try Sales Pop up from Care Cart to establish social proof and create an urgency factor within your users using the Fomo (fear of missing out) technique.
Hope this helps.
I hope you’re doing well.
I have inspected your store and here’s my report:
Your store looks really great, you did really well on the visuals of the store. I like the homepage and the flow. Furthermore, I visited the products and found that their descriptions are either copied or not unique.
According to Google, if your products have common or copied descriptions your products will not rank high in the search rating sometimes they don’t even show up in the search results.
Also about your product titles, they look very simple i.e. just the product name but a good product title should have all the essential qualities of the product in the title. And also they help in improving the overall SEO of your store. Take Amazon’s product titles for example they are informative and always show up on top in search results.
Lastly, I would like to talk about your store’s On-Page SEO rating which is really bad. If you wish to make your store more visible and reachable you should have a high SEO rating. Your SEO rating is a combined rating of how well your store will perform in search results higher the score higher the chances of being on the top result. You can improve it by making your Titles and Product description SEO optimized. Other than your product title and descriptions, the most important factor which affects your SEO rating is Meta Description, it's really important and most of the stores don't pay enough attention to it and then complain about the less traffic and conversions.
Meta description and SEO rating vastly impact your store visibility on google and other possible interaction places. The meta description plays an important role in attracting the right kind of traffic ultimately resulting in better conversions.
I’d really suggest you try Descrii, they provide titles, descriptions, and meta descriptions for your products that’ll help your website to climb high in search rankings and ultimately gain more traffic and conversion.
I hope this helps.
Have a nice day
I saw your website good products. I need to understand are you dropshipping these products ? I mean do you have them in stock or you are dropshipping from LOCAL USA wholesalers ?
Also On product details page try to create thumbnail gallery.

Can you add about page.
You can email me if you wish to grow sales via digital marketing channels.
Hi @cozyhabit !

The sale you have seems to be a nice deal, however, when you make such a big amount off it might devalue your product. People always need to know why you have made such sales, is it a seasonal sale? or is it because there is no demand for it? Does that mean the product is bad?
Instead of giving a discount for nothing, give them rewards for completing certain actions on your store ex. for creating accounts, for leaving a review, for sharing your site, for spending money on your site. It is not difficult for a user to do and you will get so many actions on your site, and you are having discounts anyway.
The items on your store are something that will most likely be purchased by one person several times. For better customer retention I recommend using Rewards program by Growave, that will give out various discounts depending on how much a person has spent on your store or how many actions he/she has completed (left a review, shared the site, created an account, etc.)
The items in your store are something that every person will need in their lives. Therefore, I recommend using a Referral program by Growave to give your customers an opportunity of sharing your products with friends and getting rewarded for that.
Imagine if you saw something that you quite like in the store, however you want to browse more, get more options, and then choose the best one. That often happens to me, because I am indecisive. That is when Wishlist comes in handy. Since you have a lot of products on your site, I recommend adding that feature to improve the user experience on your site. Besides, if the items on the wishlist have not been purchased, automated emails will be sent out as a reminder.
90% of people read reviews before purchasing an item. I personally do not read the description too much, I go straight on to the reviews section because that is social proof. In my opinion that is essential for every site. I highly recommend (almost insist) and adding that feature on your site. You can use Growave for that, it offers automated emails within the Reviews feature as well.
