Looking for feedback on our store.

We just opened up a shoe store and want some feedback on the website design etc. We've made ~ $2500 in sales in our first month but none through ads. Most were through in-person sales.

The website: https://mlvgi.com/

Thanks! :)

Your store looks excellent - well done on geat first month. In what way have you been selling in person?

Hi,

we've been marketing in-person by getting friends/family/friends-of-friends to view our the website to take a look at the products we have created. As well, we highlight the quality of each shoe and price markdowns as temporary and urge people to order before our prices are increased. With just that tactic, we were able to grab sales.

It would be nice if we were able to further that approach into running ads as well.

Thanks for your feedback! Would love some critical feedback wherever possible. :)

Ok I see. If the time limited offer worked for you so far, see if you can incorporate it with ads - by including info that the price advertised is valid only for 24 hours and then prompting people to click and shop. Just be authentic, don't be salesy with this.

Hi, thanks for the response. The price is valid until a marked date. To be quite honest, we may extend the deadline. How do you think we should go on about this?

It is up to you. Sometimes shorter deadlines work better, as people know they have to shop that very moment. With longer deadlines they might leave the shop, think longer about the purchase, and on average they don't buy at all. The bigger urgency you create, the better.

Clean and nice looking store. However, here are some things I would change based on my experience of running ads for ASOS across Europe and North America.

Homepage Feedback

  1. Kill the carousel on the homepage as it has proven to be bad for conversions rate. If you can not remove it then limit the number of sliders you use

  2. Your customer reviews (testimonials) section does not stand out right now. It blends into a sea of black text on white background. This needs to pop off the homepage more

  3. Having all your shoes on sale on the homepage cheapens your brand, imo. Handmade in Italy made me think chic but then seeing it all on sale made me think cheap.

  4. Having the X1-CAMO-DENIM product on the homepage is a bit weird... if it's working and getting you sales. Keep it. Otherwise, remove it and make your homepage shorter

Product Page Feedback

  1. Make your Add To Cart button standout more... this can be done by having more space between the sizing chart and Add To Cart button. Right now it's to close together and make it feel constricted

  2. Your product description could use a title above it. That will help break up the space

  3. Add your return/refund policy to all product pages like you do for shipping

  4. Add a section for most viewed product or other popular products at the bottom of each product page. ASOS does a good job of this.... when in doubt look to them for what is a best/common practice.

I don't think there is anything wrong with your store and you are off to a great start. You just need to make sure you are getting the right traffic and make some tweaks to take it up a level. Hope you found this helpful, if so please click "like" below.
