I'm looking for general feedback on the general layout of my store (pages, colors, font, use of use). What could I do differently? Any useful feedback would help.

I think you are following the right direction in terms of the homepage structure, but there still needs some adjustment. Here are my suggestions:

1. Image quality:

Your logo and hero banner are quite blurry and in low quality. These are the things from which people form initial evaluation about your store, I suggest you improve the image quality and make them as classy as possible. 

 

2. Regarding the hero banner, maybe you are using a square product image, which is why it is zoomed in and becomes blurry. I think you need to design an image specific for this hero area, you can Google the size for hero banners. This site is a good example I found from Google:

Also regarding the content of the hero image, keep in mind that people tend to rely on this area to gain an overview of your product range. So basically, featuring "Teeth Whitening" in this area will make it look like it's the only product you are selling. I suggest you use an image with a concise and coherent description on it, which make it clear what types of products are available in your store.

 

3. Featured Collection

About this section, it seems you are featuring some products, not collections.

 

Featuring the collections that are available on your store is a good move, it will give people an overview of what exactly your store offers. But it needs to feature the collections available, not some products. 

 

If you look at your navigation menu, you will see the "Shop" dropdown list. From my viewpoint, they are your collections and are what need to be featured.

The logo needs to be shifted to the extreme left and menu in the middle for a more systematic header view. The search bar and currency converter should be shifted to the top right of the header to be more structured and logical. Other essential points to be considered for a fresh and unique store look are as follows:

  1. The header template should highlight amazing discounts as well apart from free shipping offers.
  2. Proper discounts should be offered for effective customer engagement.
  3. Seperate "Sale" section should be created for all discounted products.
  4. You should add terms and conditions and FAQ’s if any, again these also help in building search engine content. 
  5. The terms and conditions should be placed on the extreme left while the other footer links in the middle and the newsletter to the extreme right.
  6.  All social links should be placed below the footer links.
  7. Reviews need to be added below each product for better customer choice.
  8. Testimonials need to be added for instant brand promotion.
  9. You can also install one of the most popular app Growwave which is all in one marketing platform that helps store owners increase conversions with ease.
  10. Finally, I would also recommend replacing the default search with an advanced search like Sparq which allows synonyms, advanced custom tag filters, spelling correction, and other such features. 1. The first fold of the website should always have a call to action in it - 

And here’s why; in most cases placing the CTA above the fold works wonders for your campaigns. This placement immediately draws your visitors’ attention to your CTA which is always good for conversions.

2. You need to engage your visitors coming on your site by giving loyalty reward points which will increase repeat purchase and customer lifetime value. You can add a chatbot to make sure you never lose any of your customers. You can add web push notification which will help you to retarget your customers anytime even when they are not in your store. This will help you to run your store smoothly and decrease the bounce rate and will capture your visitors and convert them into prospective or paying customers. Hello, here are a few things you can look at:

 

Banner Image

You might want to consider changing your banner image. The cropped image is a bit off-putting, and since also sell products other than teeth whitening, it's not fully representative of your store.

 

Include Key Footer Links

Some key links which I've seen are missing on your store include: FAQs, Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, Return and Refund Policy. As a business, it's important that you let your customers know that you take handle their data using international standards, and also have policies that cover how they can return items (if broken etc). All these are things customers look out for. 

 

Collect and Show Customer Reviews

Ask for reviews from your previous customers, and show these reviews on your website. This will serve as a social trust layer to new / potential customers. Once people know that you have customers who are happy with your products, they're also likely to buy those items.

 

Increase Customer Engagement

Beyond this point, think about how you'd handle customer engagement to drive up conversions on your store. The last thing you'd want is to have a purchase-intent traffic (consumers with interest to buy) and being unable to give them relevant recommendations. Engagement on your store should primarily be about understanding what customers are looking for and showing them relevant inventory from your store - this will lead directly to conversion.

I have gone through your site. Though it looks good, there are quite a few things missing on your store which if added can really make a lot of difference to the user experience, conversion rate and your overall sales.

 

 HEADER & FOOTER :

  1. Header -- Have a sticky header and a clear smart search bar to help users locate the products they're looking for.Also a slide out cart, a cart icon with item calculator must have features. Login icon must be there for buyer account creation before purchasing.  Example of Good Header 
  2. Footer -- Optimize your footer with more professional and functional look and also highlight your newsletter sign up so people who follow your brand will receive more updates about promotions and sales. There are legal policy pages which are missing in the footer that must be included for authenticity and security purpose

 

HOMEPAGE :

A lot can be done to your homepage to make it more informative & attractive.  Example of Nice Home page 

  1. Banners & Branding -- Add hero banner with prompt CTA buttons that syncs well with your store theme & branding. This banner should include info like free shipping, offers/deals like 50% off, etc
  2. Color, Font & Branding -- Over All Text, Font , Paragraph , Alignment , Spacing , Padding etc should be more elegant so that your store looks well-organized, neat and visually appealing. Maintain the same or similar colors and fonts throughout your store to keep your  branding intact 
  3. Featured Collection -- Add all the top featured collection on the homepage so users know the type of products you're selling on your store.
  4. Featured / Bestseller products -- Engage your customers by letting them know the bestseller products on your store                                     
  5. Testimonials -- They add to the trust factor as when customers see what other buyers have to say about your products, it makes them more sure about your brand.
  6. Highlight your USP -- What's unique about your brand that none of the other Shopify merchants have? This needs to be highlighted in your store presentation, features & more.
  7. Trust badge on Home Page -- This is important as this helps to build trust and assures your customers that your brand is authentic

 

COLLECTION PAGE :

Your customer views this page to have an in-depth view of the products and services you offer Example of Good Collection Page 

  1. Banner adding on Collection page -- Make your collection page stand out with interesting & creative collection banners
  2. Product filter for easy navigation -- Categorize & filter products by their size, color or type so users find product to product navigation easy.
  3. Product Label -- Product labels like % off, ‘New Arrival’, ‘Sold Out’ must be there must be there for the ease of the buyer
  4. Product Showcasing -- Clear product title and description , high quality images , reviews , related products , color swatch function, grey effect for sold out products , product labels . All these features make your store much more convenient, authentic, easy to use and user friendly.                                                                                                    

PRODUCT PAGE :

  1. Features like custom swatches, product zoom in, product reviews, unique product titles/descriptions, cart drawer and a sticky cart with a sticky add to cart and buy now button will make your product page more interactive and user-friendly. Example of Ideal Product Page 

CART PAGE :

  1. Sticky Buy now or add to cart button ,Sticky cart -- A Sticky Cart feature or sticky checkout bar reduces cart abandonment and engages the customer in your store.
  2. Functionality Of Cart Page -- Discount code , Gift wrapping , additional cart notes , delivery date picker, i agree with terms and conditions, trust badges, etc.  for personalizing your customer's shopping experience on the cart page. 

INTEGRATIONS :

  1. Apps -- Integrate sale pop up app which will create urgency to the buyers to buy the products and also live chat option for buyers to communicate easily.
  2. Proper integration of Google Analytics, Facebook store, Instagram store, google search console -- These features will help you track and analyze how customers interact with your store

     3.Proper setup shipping, taxes -- Set up shipping and taxes options for different areas/countries or for particular products.

  1. Google shopping -- Let your users easily discover & buy your products with Google smart shopping marketing campaigns.

I believe you could improve this product page. Somehow decrease the white space here and instead of making the page long you add a content. I assume the current Shopify theme doesn't support that feature. Consider to use page builders available on the Apps Store https://apps.shopify.com/browse/store-design-page-builders
