Hey @carmy2006

Hope you are doing well. Congratulations on your store.

I went through your website thoroughly and I really feel that there are few shortcomings. I am going to mention it down below:

  1. You can create a better brand logo (probably a smaller one).
  2. The banner images (slideshow) are not very good. You can use overlays over the images and place your brand logo on them.
  3. You might want to use different and slightly professional fonts and font colours. Because looks really do matter.
  4. The product page contains so many font colours. That brings an unprofessional look.
  5. The product descriptions should be more descriptive.

There are some other points that should be taken care of. Post that, you need to promote your product in a proper way and in front of the right audience. I would highly recommend you to hire a team to help you out with all these issues.

Hey @carmy2006,

Congratulations on getting your store up and running! I've taken a look through and I have some feedback for you.

That main banner area is prime real estate for selling.  One of the keys of selling is getting inside your customers head, what problem do they have that you can solve? What words or phrases do they use that you can as well to show that you understand their needs. You've got the right idea, I see that you are saying that these aren't like drugstore brands, this is great. I would just condense your text down to a line or two. Also, avoid adding text into the banner image itself, it doesn't resize well from mobile to desktop (it gets cut off). For the format, we recommend having a professional photo of your products, a title introducing your brand or product, a line of text underneath that expands on your title and a call to action button such as "Shop Now". Here is an example:

I would recommend condensing your navigation menu, once it starts flowing into the second line, it's too much and it will only grow as you add in more product. Instead of having Faux Mink Lashes and Mink Couture Lashes as their own separate links, I'd instead have "Lashes" and then a dropdown showing the different lash options. I would do the same for nails as well. Here is a video we did on how to create both dropdown menus and mega menus:

If you want to add pops of color, it's best to do it on things like buttons, link colors and your navigation bar. When you start changing background colors and font colors, it quickly becomes too much and starts taking away from where the focus should be - on your products.

I'd work on adjusting your product pages. Not only with the text color as mentioned above but with the format. You have some text centered, others to the left. It likely looks good on mobile but ideally you want something that is going to look great on all screen sizes.

You have a reviews plugin, which is great. Positive reviews are very valuable, they add a lot of trust to your store. Yours  needs some tweaking, it is placed at the top instead of the bottom where it should be and is missing some formatting. We did a video showing a free review app you can use and how to set it up:

I’d recommend utilizing Shopify’s sales channels for your social media pages. This is going to allow you to tag products that you post on your social media and then have that tag lead to your store. Here is how to implement it for Facebook and Instagram.

You can also expand your sales channels and promote your products on Google Shopping. Easily syncing your products from your Shopify store to Google Merchant Center with AllFetch Google Shopping Feed app for Free.

I will leave it at that for now but if you would like to talk to us 1-1, we offer sessions where we take a look at your store, identify the greatest issues holding you back, then provide solutions and advice. You can email us at ecomgeeksco@gmail.com for more information.

We hope our response was helpful, if it was, let us know by giving us a thumbs up and/or marking it as a solution!

Best of luck!
