I'd like to see if anyone can offer some clarity towards my current situation, I am a very new store and am currently running ad campaigns to bring attention and traffic to the site which is currently working very well, getting about 100-200+ people on the store per day, I get many add to carts and Checkouts however hardly any conversions in comparison, why could this be? any help would be greatly appreciated, the website is.
You could attempt to add some social proof or urgency to your checkout process.
- Curate all of your reviews in a platform and add them to your checkout.
- Add an exit popup that offers a small discount.
- You mention that shipping is free. Remove the "Shipping calculated at checkout" via the translation option.
No problem @NatDarcy
Let me know if you need any further help and feel free to leave a like if my feedback helped you.
Cal here from Shopify, thanks for reaching out to us. I'd love to dig a little deeper into why you might be experiencing low conversion rates. What is your current conversion rate? Have you considered that your marketing strategy so far might be targeting the wrong audience? Can you give us more information on what your current marketing strategy is? Have you identified the behaviors and habits of your ideal customer persona?
Hi there! Maggie, Shopify Expert here :)
Consider integrating your store with Google Analytics - it will give you great info as to where your traffic is coming from, and which sources send you the best converting traffic. You could then measure if it's the Facebook ads that convert the best, or perhaps another source, like Google organic traffic or Instagram posts. Google Analytics is worth monitoring, as it will allow you to focus your time and marketing budgets only on the platforms that convert best [remember 80/20 rule - 20% of your efforts generate 80% of the results].
