Could someone have a look at my store to determine what could be wrong or done differently or better?

Hi Filip,

Your store is pleasant to eyes and UI part is amazing. Idea is unique, never heard of selling adventerous products.
There is not much to offer as the store has everything to its best, I have reviewed your store  but still you can build a level of trust amongst visitors which will drive you better sales.

  1. Homepage is little confusing, though beautiful.
Try to compact it by reducing the width of few sections and merging it into one.
Also add some Bestselling products and newsletter on the homepage.
  2. You can consider having few links only on header menu, as mostly are there in footer.
Try subcategories links in header which are under submenu of catalog for better exposure.
  3. Also since you have just started you can have some promotional activity on the site, offer some discounts and add referral code that can help the first time user to gain discount on second order.
  4. Surprisingly, I can't find a search bar. For a new visitor, it is hard to find the right product
The default search landing page is bit off, I mean it's empty  https://www.cable-ride.com/search?type=product%2Carticle%2Cpage&q=
You can show products on that page as well by simply updating the default search on the website with different search solution.
Additionaly, smart search offers some suggestions when someone is trying to find something to your store.
  5. Lastly, You have over 70  products. I would strongly recommend to replace the default search with advanced search like Sparq which allows synonyms, advanced custom tag filters, spelling correction and other such feature. Visitors with search are high intent users and their conversion rate is higher than normal users. Check out the features live here.

I hope my feedback will help you converting visitors into customers.
Sparq is a fast and beautiful search solution for Shopify store owners. It allows store owners to upgrade their default search to an extremely fast, more user friendly and feature rich search

Hi, I can help you figure this out, but I would need to review your analytics and marketing/ad campaigns. Without knowing how you were generating the revenue and looking at the data there's no right answer I can give you. It could be a technical problem, maybe a competitor is stealing your business, or you could have exhausted your audience and need to find new people to sell to. It's possible you may have a seasonal business. Perhaps people only buy products like this in the spring and sales taper off as the weather gets cooler. All speculation without further research.

I did spot some significant issues with the site which are causing lower conversions, lower traffic and a lower ROI. (That doesn't necessarily explain why your sales have dropped, it just means that you could optimize your website to potentially gain an extra 40% increase in traffic.)  If you'd like to discuss, we can hop on the phone. I'll provide a free 20 minute consultation, and if you need a more in depth look, you can hire me for consulting, a site audit, or solution implementation. Send me a DM to get your sales back.

Hi @FilipC

Really good job on launching your store. I think there isn't a ton to change, but I'm going to nitpick anyways, because there is always room for improvement :D.

Firstly, I noticed that you don't have a blog. If you had a blog you would be able to drive more organic traffic to your store, plus it would help establish yourself as an expert.

Also I noticed that you don't have a sense of urgency. By using urgency, you can make your visitors feel like they are missing out unless they order immediately. The 'Fear of Missing Out' that they experience, will increase your ability to convert them into buyers. One app that can help you with that is https://apps.shopify.com/better-countdown . It really can make a big difference in getting your customers to buy from you

But seriously your store is actually really great, and I think just a few minor tweaks could really go a long way.

P.S. I created an email course at https://mailchi.mp/7d8692283c12/shopify-conversion-course, after reviewing a bunch of stores I noticed that there are a few tips that might help, and I created an email list to help with it.

If you went from having sales to have zero sales. Then it's likely a technical issue then anything. This takes into account you have not made any major changes in the last few months:

  • No new major traffic sources
  • Google Analytics is still connected to your Shopify back end
  • Facebook pixel is still connected to your Shopify back end
  • You have not done a recent website redesign

If you go into Google Analytics and click on Acquisition --> All Traffic. Then you can click on either Channels or Source/Medium and that can help tell you where you are losing money and sales from. If you use the date picker in the top right of your account, you can compare July to August and see where you are losing revenue. Is your Organic Search down or maybe Paid Search has dropped to zero. Hope you found this helpful, if so please click "like" below to let me know.

P.S. Take my Google Shopping Course and help grow your revenue this month.

I guess something wrong with the traffic source. Did you acquire customers though social or referral? The website looks great and load fast.

Hi Tony, thanks, traffic volumes are still fine, most traffic comes Organic and direct, only minor referral and social is marginal, however I do advertise on Facebook and Instagram with targeted audience traffic from social seems hard.

Hi @FilipC -

There's a lot of great advice above, but if you want to figure this issue out, we need to answer the question:

What changed between May and September?

Let's start at the top of the funnel and work our way down:

- Did you change your marketing campaigns / source of traffic?

- Did you change anything about your homepage?

- Did you change your product assortment?

- Did you change your checkout process / provider?

If you can identify what changed, you should be able to figure out where your problem is in the funnel.  Everything else is just guessing : )

Good luck, hope you're back at 10k / month soon!
