Hey there, Samir.
Bo here from Shopify Support. Thank you for reaching out!
First of all, I want to say that I love your store. It has a clean look to it with really high-quality images and clear shipping information on each product page. You have found your niche and have established your brand voice through your product descriptions. There are a few things that we can improve on to help with your conversion rates for sure.
Trust is the most valuable currency you can have on an online store. If a customer feels that they can trust a store they are much more likely to buy from it. Having the option to leave a review really helps build that trust with customers. Genuine, positive reviews will encourage customers to look at you as someone they can trust, someone who cares about their customers, and someone who is willing to go the extra mile for an exceptional customer experience. Seeking out online reviews have become such a standard part of the buying process for people these days that every online retailer needs to be thinking about them. Here are some statistics for you to consider:
It is great that you have a Contact Us page, however, it does not look very welcoming. I would recommend adding a message to your contact page informing the customer of your usual response time while letting them know that you are happy to hear from them. This goes back to building trust with a customer, they will be far more likely to buy with you if they feel that they can be supported by you.
One small thing which isn't crucial but will make your site look that bit more professional is adding a favicon that matches your business logo. A favicon is an icon that appears on a tab in a browser, usually a logo. You can add a favicon to your site as per this guide.
I took a look at your About Us page, it can definitely be better utilized. What you have there does not stand out from any other store's mission statement. Every yoga store wants to provide yoga accessories, every store strives to give great customer service, what is unique about you and your store? What an About Us page should be is a goal-oriented sales page, one that focuses on highlighting the biggest selling points of your story and brand, making a strong impression on curious customers. Your "About Us" page should highlight the following objectives:
Your Call-To-Action button is not obvious enough on your product page. You would be surprised as to how many people would leave a product page without adding an item to their cart because they did not immediately see the add to cart button. By surfacing the “Add to Cart” button up top it’s much easier to find your way to checkout.
Let me know how this goes and if there is anything else I can assist you with, I'm happy to help!
All the Best,
Great advice from Bo and I can tell you’ve worked hard on your store. It really shows!
I’d like to add a few other suggestions.
Your product images are great, but the banner images on your storefront are low resolution and appears stretched. Either way, it’s not the best first impression and lowers your perceived trust. I’d recommend searching for quality stock photos (Pixabay (they’re free for commercial use & no link back required), Shutterstock, etc). Or, better yet, take your own.
Why not give away a 20% discount in exchange for something like an email address, social media follow, etc. It means even if they don’t buy straight away (most people don’t buy on their first visit) you can warm them up over time. And chances are they’ll buy eventually.
On the marketing side, you don’t really have much that differentiates you. You aren’t communicating your brands story (what you’re all about, why should I buy from you at not the 1000s of other yoga stores?)
You have a great opportunity to go the extra mile with content marketing and become an authority: create ‘how to’ yoga videos on YouTube, blog posts, etc.
Content marketing is a great way to acquire customers at a low cost. It will also help to increase your perceived trust when you run paid advertising campaigns.
If customers aren’t converting, the best way to fix this is to warm them up. I’d recommend creating a gated offer (where you offer something in exchange for an email address or joining a Facebook group). An example could be: Ultimate Guide To Yoga After Childbirth. I’m sure you could come up with another title that resonates with your target market. Then advertise this offer.
Once they join your mailing list or Facebook group you can give them value (in the form of content) to slowly build their trust until they’re ready to buy.
Finally, the ultimate solution to increase your conversion rate it to ask your visitors why they left without buying. You can use polls to do this. For example, in Feedme you can create a poll that pops-up to a visitor when they’re about to leave. Like the one below:
(all polls are fully customisable so they can complement your store)
Once you know why visitors are leaving you can fix the issue (maybe your products are too expensive, they don’t trust you, they can’t find what they’re looking for etc.)
To learn more about polls I highly recommend you read How To Use Polls To Increase Conversions
I hope this will be useful and I look forward to your reply.
I agree about the banner. The images seem pixelated like they are being stretched out and aren't crystal clear.
I think if you change the font or font color for the message bar, that would stand out more. It's a bit hard to notice, and I don't know if people will see it.
Also, on your returns page you still have the generic Shopify info on there, so you need to edit it to suit your own business.
I do like the way your store looks! :-)
