Need Feedback on my store....

Hi All. Best to everyone, including Shopify personnel. Well, as subject states, need some constructive feedback on my store ( From early Jan to mid-Feb, things were picking up. Then. Nothing crickets. I know this Coronavirus has effected us too, right? Anyway, feedback is appreciated! Thanks!

Yes, you are right that COVID-19 has affected a lot of businesses and economies all over the globe. Sales might get affected due to this. Don't worry everything will be right as soon as this thing gets normal. 

Let's talk about your store. Here are some suggestions from my side:-

1. Make your store more professional. There's a lot of whitespace in the header on the homepage. 

2. Change the font style on the banner image.  

3. After a banner image, display the collections. Instead of the banner image, add slider images. Add testimonials on the homepage.

4. You can add an Instagram feed on the homepage to make your store look more professional.

5. Add a newsletter subscription box in the footer. Add the Loyalty reward programStart giving loyalty points on activities like on signing up, allowing for push notifications, visiting a store, leaving a review. This will help you to entice your visitors and will also increase the number of push subscribers, reviews, newsletter subscribers. A loyalty program helps in increasing sales and increase the retention rate.

6. Add a web push notification. It turns visitors into subscribers and subscribers into customers. It can be sent even when customers are not on your store and bring back the losing customer to your store.

7. Add a LiveChatbot to make sure your never lose any of your customers. 


These tools will help you to maximize engagement in your store and will help in increasing the conversion and retention rate.

"Really happy" to know regarding the "bright performance" of your store right in the beginning itself. But, "store layout and maintanence" often matter a lot in retaining a long term "heroic performance". So, you too need to optimize your store for the same by looking into the below-mentioned tips as follows:

  1. “Facebook is an essential component of today's ecommerce marketing strategy", Therefore, adding Facebook, Twitter, and Linked In to the footer social links would help you in increasing customer association to a considerable extent.
  2. Magnify the "cart button" on the top-right header corner for better visibility.
  3. "Site identification" can be better facilitated by adding a "favicon" to it.
  4. Make the "About Us" section more detailed by adding a "little description" to it thus imparting an "art of expression" to it.
  5. Add "Shoppay" to the payment methods to provide alternate payment options to customers.
  6. A "BUY NOW" Button is an instant "Call to Action" which when added helps in simplifying the checkout process.

I’ve gone through your store and found that there are quite a few things missing on your store which if added can really make a lot of difference to the user experience, conversion rate and your overall sales. Here is a page-by-page/sectional review of your site:


Page Speed optimization -- 


Need to improve store loading speed for mobile. More than 50 will be a better option.



Header/Footer -- 

Customize your header and footer with specific functionalities. Your header should offer a smart toggle search bar where people can type in the products they’re looking for as well as go for sticky header.


Also, create a slide out cart, a cart icon with item calculator.


Home Page -- 

A lot can be done to your homepage to make it more informative & attractive. Add prompt CTA buttons with a hero banner that syncs well with your store theme & branding. This banner should include info like free shipping, offers/deals like 50% off, etc. Below the hero banner, create categories for all your products in a slider that engages customers. 


Your Unique value proposition should be highlighted on your homepage. Add testimonial carousels, announcement bars, product slideshows and make your homepage SEO friendly to increase your site traffic and conversions. 


Collection Page --

Your customer views this page to have an in-depth view of the products and services you offer. 


Make sure this page has a creative banner to enhance the visual appeal of your store, product reviews of all the products in your store, infinite scrolling to increase page views. announcement bars for highlighting promotions, events, deals and product labels like % off, ‘New Arrival’, ‘Sold Out’, etc.


Product Page -- 

Add interactive and user-friendly features like custom swatches, product zoom in, product reviews, unique product titles/descriptions, cart drawer and a sticky cart with a sticky add to cart and buy now button.

Cart Page --

This page is the final step before your customers check out from your store so it should be as impressive as any other page on your store. 


Integrations on your store --

How do you plan to monitor your site performance and track conversions? 


Simply set up and integrate Google Analytics, Facebook Conversion tracking and Google Search Console with your store and get to know who is visiting your store, their demographics, which of your Facebook page viewer converts into your buyer and your store’s ranking, impressions & clicks  on Google. 


Besides these tracking methods, make sure the following is included on your store:


  1. Include live chat option that is visible on every page of your store to keep your customers happy and retain them. 
  2. There needs to be a strong colour coordination among all the colours used on your store. Try to use the same or similar colours used in your logo throughout your store and in the social media business page banner or cover picture you create.
  3. Create a sense of urgency with countdown timer, ‘only 1 left’ features  and promotional banners highlighting ‘sale expiry’.
  4. Ensure your store speed is optimized. You can do this by checking your google page speed score. Minify codes that are redundant or apps that are slowing down the site speed.  Make your site mobile-friendly. 
  5. Optimize your user experience with easy navigation, proper spacing, alignment, font and colour coordination.

I've spent a few minutes reviewing your store and I'd love to show some advice that you can consider taking to improve the store experience.



The favicon is missing, please consider to update this because it gives your site a distinctive identification that visitors will likely remember. You can take a quick look at how to add a favicon here



The navigation here is too closed, please increase the gutter between them so that it will look more balanced. I've made a quick preview here so you can see the difference.



It seems like the homepage doesn't contain much information about the brand. I encourage you to add some trust badges & also a section for a testimonial on the homepage. You can take Etsy homepage as a reference. It will definitely increase conversion on the homepage.



One more thing, I've also checked your page on Google Page Speed & it turns out the page on the desktop is rapid but on the mobile version, it doesn't get such a high score. I think it's mainly caused by theme code, I suggest you contact the theme provider & check with them so we will have a proper solution for that.


I know you've just started because there are a lot of things you can consider to add to your site at this stage. Please spend more time to refine the pages & come back here when you need more insightful recommendation ;)
