Just finishing the site. Can you take a minute and give feed back on improvements to be made. I am new to these.  Any input is appreciated. These are handcrafted items. Will be on Facebook and Instagram to build up followers. And also how many followers you should have before spending money on ads. Thanks for you help.

Try the following points for store improvement:

  • "Terms and conditions" are missing from the site footer.
  • Magnify your "store logo" for better clarity.
  • Add a "favicon" for unique site identification.
  • Add images to "About Us" for better customer understanding.

  • Filters are very important for customers in order to identify the correct product from the huge catalog. So, you should look for advanced filter options for your store.

Congratulations on your store. Nice collection! I've some suggestions for improvement.


1. Add 'New Arrivals' section to help customers keep updated on new products.

2. Add favicon to your store which is a small square image/logo that appears next to a web address. Favicon helps to strengthen your brand and add a polished look to your website.

3. You can add testimonials on the Home page to make the store look more professional.

4. Add product reviews as most of the customers read the review before purchasing the product.

5. Add Contact Us page for better customer interaction.

6. Add social media for the store to increase the traffic

7. Optimize your footer with a more professional and functional look. Add pages like Contact Us, About Us, Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, etc to the footer.

8. A FAQ would be useful!

9. Discounts and limited-time offers will help to increase sales.

10. Add the email Newsletter section in the footer (not just in the Home page) so that it is available throughout the store.

11. Add more specific product title/url in product pages. Example: https://kanthausa.com/collections/pillows-1/products/pillow-2
Creating the perfect SEO product title/url can help the search engine understand exactly what it is you are selling and drive more traffic to your site. So try to keep the product title/url unique and more specific.

12. Add filters in collection pages to help your visitors narrow in on the specific product they're looking for and find products they might be interested in based on certain features (e.g. size, color, category)

13. Create a Facebook account for your store. Having a Facebook Store is a great way to grow your business, allowing you to tap into new audiences and gain more customers.

14. Add sorting feature in collection pages for changing the order of any product listing whereby users can choose which criteria they want the products to be listed by.

Before you think of ranking you should ensure your pages are found (indexed by Google). I just had a look at your store, your store looks great. I have a few suggestions for you hope they might help you. 

 

  • I have found that there is no favicon to your website, favicon helps your customers to navigate to your website tab while they open many tabs on the same browser and it looks professional if you have a favicon. 
  • There is no review option, try adding that feature social reviews helps you a lot in bringing sales. 
  • There are no trust badges at your checkout page, try adding them as trust badges help your customers know that your site is safe to shop. 
  • Also, try adding SEO related high search keywords in your title and product description so that it will be very easy to market your products and display them at the top in google search.
  • Try adding some sale offers to your products to attract customers.
  • Add a blog page, blog page helps you to share more about your website and products which increases your site visibility.

I Hope your business is going well during these difficult times. I checked your store website, and I have a few tips and feedback I'd like to share,

1. The website feels empty and lacks character, I think an addition of video to a landing page increases conversations by 80%. evaluate your competitor’s website’s after browsing through a few of their websites, compare your findings to your own site.
2. Branded video content is likely to takeover consumers are 300% most likely to watch a video about a product rather than read a description.
3. Add a section of frequently brought/suggested items this will increase the product value and it will be reviewed as well. Bigger images in your catalouge view product list with bigger images and hidden description can increase sales and will add brand value to your products. Ensure that every products has large images in the product view that zoom to fill the browser window.
4. Engaging  audience by writing blogs with better titles and promoting them on various social media platforms will be helpful.
5. The text block on the images aren’t visible, the text block on a plain background increase the site of visibility.
6. Ask your customers to rate your products as this will help build trust and loyalty for the brand.
7. Adding Plain background on produt images will be more helpful as the products will be more visible the current background has some texture which is blocking the 100% visibility of product.
8. Product badges are a great way to highlight specific products in your store so they stand out. Getting your customers to take notice of the best product offerings and promotions means your sales campaigns should be even more successful. You can even combine product badges with proven marketing techniques such as scarcity and social proof and your products should sell even faster.

I do not know how to add character.

7. Adding Plain background on product images will be more helpful as the products will be more visible the current background has some texture which is blocking the 100% visibility of product.

I can do this 

Marketing" I will work on/ Blog,video,badges. etc

Thank you for taking time to write back. Will do what you are suggesting. Question for you. I have sold my products on Amazon and product reviews are there. Can I copy and paste to my shopify site. Is it allowed in your opinion?
