New Store - Need Help/Feedback

Hello,

My name is Jude, I recently opened my website to the public about a week ago. I haven't been doing so bad getting a bit of traffic. The problem I am having is that I am getting a lot of abandoned carts and checkouts. I still have not been able to get a sale. Hi @Cranzana 

 

Overall I think your shopify store looks pretty good, But I noticed a couple of things that you might consider adding.

 

Also I noticed that you don't have a sense of urgency. Imagine you are a customer browsing an online store. Maybe you are ready to buy maybe you aren't. But there is a good chance you aren't in the buying mood at the moment. If you add a sense of urgency to your store it can help more of your customers to buy, and have them buy faster. One way you can do so is by adding https://apps.shopify.com/better-countdown .

 

After browsing your store I noticed I wasn't able to find an always visible buy button. The buy button is probably the most important button in your entire store and you need to make sure that your customer can always easily find it. If your customer needs to scroll all they waaay back up after reading your descriptions, they are more likely not to buy from you. A lot of people are very busy, and every extra step that you add is another reason why they might not want to buy from you. I recommend adding https://apps.shopify.com/better-sticky-checkout-button-increase-your-sales . It can help you make sure your buy button is always within a thumbs reach for your customer.

 

I wasn't able to find reviews. Adding reviews would help your customers research the products they are going to buy. Plus if someone likes a product they bought from you they can leave a review.

 

Did you think about adding a blog. A blog could be used to drive more traffic to your store, and you could also use it to recommend potential products that your customer could buy.

 

Nice job on your all of your hard work so far, and I'm sure that just a few minor changes will really help.

Here are some ways to make your store even better and make people want to purchase.

 

Homepage Feedback

    1. There is a lot of empty space on your homepage. I would tweak the design to tighten up the layout

    2. Your 10% off popup covers your FB Messenger chat window.

    3. I would add your collection pages as a drop down menu on your "Shop" link

    4. Carousels have been proven to kills conversions rates ...limit how much you use the one on your site. No one is going to wait around to see what is on each sliders

    5. I would try to make your collection page layout have a uniform look and feel. Having different sized product images is distracting

    6. Consider adding a Featured Product section on the homepage (i.e. Bandana Of The Month). Pick one products and tell people why you picked it and what makes it great


Product Page  Feedback

    1. Make sure each product has 3 - 5 images as that will help someone decide if they want to purchase. A lot of products I saw only had 1 or 2 images

    2. Add a longer product description as this is how you convince someone to buy on your site. Plus it helps with SEO and ranking in organic search

    3. ASOS and other leading fashion brands are doing little fashion videos for their product pages. Something you could film on an iPhone or latest Android and add to your site.

  • Target specific niche markets: Everyone may be a prospect for your product or service. But your marketing efforts will produce the best results for the lowest cost when you target prospects with the greatest need for what you offer.
  • Never advertise without an offer: Always include a powerful offer in your advertising.
  • Offer free information related to your product or service to generate inquiries or website traffic. 

Coming to your store,

  1. Add some discounts for more customer engagement.
  2. Add some blogs and customer testimonials apart from Instagram images.
  3. I would recommend replacing the default search with an advanced search like Sparq which allows synonyms, advanced custom tag filters, spelling correction, and other such features. Visitors with search are high intent users and their conversion rate is higher than normal users.
