No traffic no Sales - Please Feedback on my Website

Hello everyone:

 

Thank all you in advance for anyone who takes the time going through my website figlia.uk and feedback on it.

The web store is open for over six months now and have very little traffic on my site and so far not a single sale.

I'm considering to start run google ads to drive traffic, but as i just discovered this great community and i though wise ask your honest opinion before investing in marketing.

Any feedback are welcome.

Hello.
I am definitely not a professional but I looked at your website. And I thought I may as well give you my honest opinion on your site.
The jewellery is amazing. Looks really great. I think however you are missing a human element. I think maybe you should showcase your jewellery on a human model. In colour. It would help warm up the tone of your website photos. Not so cold looking. It would show the fit of the bracelets and rings. Maybe get a hand model in and have new photos done.
You mention some fashion houses that you have been an element of. So maybe showcase these big names a bit higher up on you About Us page. It would catch the eye of fashionistas.
Give Google ads a try. They really can drive traffic to your store. Plus small adverts in fashion magazines or their web pages can boost traffic.

Hey congratulations on opening such a great store, honestly I like it a lot, but I think there might be a couple things you could consider changing.

 

You might consider adding an always visible buy button. One of the biggest reasons people don't buy from online stores is because it's a hassle to checkout. We want to be able to reduce all friction that could potentially cause a customer not to buy. I recommend adding https://apps.shopify.com/better-sticky-checkout-button-increase-your-sales to your site. It's an app that will make your buy button always visible. If they buy button isn't always visible on your site, your customer will have a hard time trying to buy from you. And even if they still are able to checkout, it can go a long way in helping them have a positive experience on your site.

 

After browsing your store I noticed I wasn't able to find reviews. It would be good to add reviews for your products. Think about it when was the last time you bought a product without reading the reviews first? I think you should definitely add some reviews.

 

Did you think about adding a blog. If you had a blog you would be able to drive more organic traffic to your store, plus it would help establish yourself as an expert.

 

One thing to consider is adding a FAQ section. If your customer can't find an answer to their questions they may not buy from you. Adding an FAQ section will help to add trust, and make it so your customer doesn't need to leave your site, to find an answer to their question.

 

Also I noticed that you don't have a sense of urgency. One of the main reasons why people don't buy from a store is because they feel like they can buy it whenever. A big thing that can help more of your visitors be turned into buyers would be by adding a sense of urgency to your store. One way to add urgency is to have a sale, and all sales need an end date. You can easily add a sale to your store with a countdown timer. One countdown timer that I recommend is https://apps.shopify.com/better-countdown .

 

Nice job on your all of your hard work so far, and I'm sure that just a few minor changes will really help.

If you are going to look at using Google, then you should try Google Shopping as it's made for ecommerce. We run Google Shopping ads for all our clients and it does really well. Here are some ways to make your store even better and make people want to purchase.

 

Homepage Feedback

    1. Your homepage needs to have more content then just product. Otherwise, it's less interesting to look at

    2. Siders/Carousels have been proven to kills conversions rates ...limit how much you use the one on your site. No one is going to wait around to see what is on each sliders

    3. Consider adding a Featured Product section on the homepage (i.e. Jewelry Of The Month). Pick one piece and tell people why you picked it and what makes it great. You need to add copy that is selling the product.


Product Page  Feedback

    1. Add a section at the bottom of product pages to show your most viewed/bought items from the site. This can help increase your average order value

    2. Add a section for customer reviews when you get them. This helps build social proof and makes it easier for people to trust your brand. Ask past customers for reviews is a great way to get this started

    3. Add a longer product description as this is how you convince someone to buy on your site. Plus it helps with SEO and ranking in organic search

Hi Antonello,

I just took a look at your store. I think you need to improvise the store. Follow the professional layout for the home page and keep in mind that the product images should be aligned properly. Buyers consider visual appearance to be the most important factor when making a purchase.

Reorder the layout of the home page. It must flow better. I would recommend setting it out like this.
- Slideshow Image
- Collection List
- Something Interesting ( maybe little about your story with a link to about page )
- Newsletter Sign Up
- Popular Products ( 4-8 Max ) I would only use 4.
Make the home page attractive as it creates the first impression on the visitors.
Add some image carousels and videos it will be an added feather to the store.

Get some attractive themes to make your store look "wow".

Also, you can add product descriptions. The more the details the more is the clarity and less is the confusion of the buyer! Add different tabs to the product description section for the customers to be more clear about your product!

 

For traffic, you can use facebook ads, also posting on social media can be a good way to promote your online store. When you use any social media platform in the right way, it has the ability to bring a large amount of traffic to a website. The positive impact of Social Media is quite evident in brand awareness, brand loyalty, and customer service as well. Boosting sales is also very prominent in making a positive impact of Social Media.

 

Once you are done with the improvements start focusing on the engagement part. Make sure you are providing proper engagement channels. I will suggest you add pop-ups, chatbots, reviews, and other marketing tools along with the newsletter to increase the traffic on a daily basis on your website. Also, increasing customer engagement will make your website more interactive which will help you in conversions and retaining your customers. thanks for the advice, photos on model are in plan but unfortunately not budget yet.

I followed your suggestion on google and tried give a call to them if thy can help me set up a campaign and oh my if i was out of my comfort zone...

the guy initially decided for a shopping campaign and set up the daily budget at £3.00 but at some point said minimum should be £8.00 i felt like the google assistant wasn't particularly acting in my best interest.

Wanted to ask if you advice for a shopping or a search campaign? thanks

Like I said in my previous message. I am not an expert. But I am trying out
these lines of marketing for my site also. It's all very new to me. And I
am happy to share my experience with you.
When it comes to Google ads, I stick to a daily of £3-£5. I tend to
increase it a couple of times a week to £10 to give a bit of a boost.
Usually Sundays and Tuesday. People are relaxing after their weekend and
first day back at work. They seem to browse more often at these times.
I also use Facebook ads which bring in alot of traffic. Again using between
£3-£5 daily.
I have managed to get the traffic this way.
I don't know if this advice will help you.

Your jewellery store looks really amazing. Keep up the hard work. It does
take a little time to get the traffic flowing. You will find a
breakthrough. You just need to try out a few budgets. Don't give up.

I like your Optic collections of rings especially, and think they would sell well as a trial for Google Shopping Ads.

You do need to add a phone # (1 800) or vanity # ( 1800 GET RING).  Likely would want to start with a discount on them though imho.

Google Shopping ads should be setup carefully, and I would not let Google reps talk you into a Smart Shopping campaign using AI, since that spends a lot of money fast with low targeting.  Start with a single campaign setup with a single product and low budget.  Add negative keywords daily and test.  You should add some offline reviews to your site and testimonials as well as an address and more options to chat to you/owner though to build trust.... A Sales Pop app with Add to Carts would help show traffic that you generate....  Looks good though, keep going! :)
