Hey there!

Looking for honest opinons on my shopify website!

Hi @prettyplease760

I would love to provide some feedback on your store. By the way, I love your products!

From my point of view, I have some recommendations for your store.

1, The Header

-It seems that I cannot see your store's logo. You should add it into the header with your store's name Pretty Please Boutique. This makes your store more professional

-You should add a Search form into the header or even on the menu navigation

-The menu should add more pages such as About us, FAQs, Blog post, Promotion pages, etc. A wishlist page should be considered putting into.

2, The Banner

-You should have a banner to show your store's products or even store introduction below the menu.

-It can be a Slideshow so your customers can know your store much better and trust your store.

-In the banner, you can put a call to action button inside.

3, The collection

-First and foremost, the space between the menu and the collection is too small.

  • The space between 2 sections should be 85px. (The collection and menu).
  • The space between elements in 1 section should be 45 px. (The products in the collection).

Pretty Please Fashion | Home – The Pretty Please Boutiques 2020-02-27 09-25-25.png

-You can consider to add more sections in your home page to make it more attractive. Customers have many choices to select.

But one thing you should remember that the call to action is very important for the store.

-You can add your store's Instafeed so customers can also contact you easily.

-You can add a testimonial section with customer's reviews to increase store's trustworthy.

4, The footer

-In the footer section, you should separate into many categories such as pages, contact us, store policies, information, etc

5, A product page

https://prettypleasefashion.com/products/button-down-mixed-lace-top For example this page

You should not set up the product image as the current situation for some reasons:

  • The product image's size is too big and it decreases the image's quality
  • It's hard to see a whole image with product description, price, variant, etc at the same time
  • This can lead to the low conversion rate

You can consult this

-Product image with the thumbnails below

-Product description is set up on the right of the product image

-Adding review stars

-And related products

I hope my recommendations can help you! If you have any other questions, please let me know.

Hey Pretty Please Fashion,

The search landing page is disabled. Besides that, the first letter of all the dropdown menu components should be capital according to standard English notation. In addition, a home button is compulsary to be added in the dropdown menu for more completeness and logicality. Other essential observations for store optimization are as follows:

  1. The logo is visible on all other pages except the homepage. It needs to be improved as well. Changing the font style and adding an impression of graphics might help.
  2. Proper site identification can be better facilitated by the use of favicon, which is missing.
  3. Placement of Login beside the cart and search bar apart from the dropdown would result in a better-organized header look.
  4. Light Brown header template should be better utilized for highlighting attractive discounts or free shipping offers if any.
  5. "Bestsellers" and "New Arrivals" are a must for depicting site popularity and peculiarity.
  6.  An individual "Sale" section would help to keep a stock of all discounted items together.
  7. Arrangement of all footer links vertically would definitely contribute to better alignment.
  8. Social links are a must for better customer connectivity. Add Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linked in etc to the footer for strong association and centricity.
  9. Appropriate placement of all footer links will result in systematic footer view. Footer links should be placed to the left, newsletter to the right while social links should be placed below both of them.
  10. To help the customers decide better, product reviews are a must below every item.
  11. Customer trust and belief can be better strengthened by adding testimonials and Instagram images to the site footer.
  12. Promotional discounts in the form of "discount codes or coupons" are a must for better customer engagement.
  13. You can also install one of the most popular app Growwave which is all in one marketing platform that helps store owners increase conversions with ease.
  14. Finally, I would also recommend replacing the default search with an advanced search like Sparq which allows synonyms, advanced custom tag filters, spelling correction, and other such features. Visitors with search are high intent users and their conversion rate is higher than normal users.
Check out the features live here.
You can use Sparq free trial for as many products in your store. After the trial period, you can enjoy with Sparq
’s Free Starter Plan for upto 1000* products.

May the store succeed and progress in the path of success very soon.

Neha :)

Sparq is a fast and beautiful product filter and search solution for Shopify store owners. It allows store owners to add a custom tag, metadata, or variant based filters on their collection page and upgrade their default search to an extremely fast, more user-friendly and feature-rich search.

I have gone through your site. Though it looks good, there are quite a few things missing on your store which if added can really make a lot of difference to the user experience, conversion rate and your overall sales.

Logo & Favicon :

Logo & Favicon -- Your logo should highlight your brand name. Add a favourite icon so users can locate your webpage easily.

  1. Header -- Have a sticky header and a clear smart search bar to help users locate the products they're looking for. Also a slide out cart, a cart icon with item calculator must have features. Login icon must be there for buyer account creation before purchasing.
  2. Footer -- Optimize your footer with more professional and functional look and also highlight your newsletter sign up so people who follow your brand will receive more updates about promotions and sales. There are legal policy pages which are missing in the footer that must be included for authenticity and security purpose

A lot can be done to your homepage to make it more informative & attractive.

  1. Banners & Branding -- Add hero banner with prompt CTA buttons that syncs well with your store theme & branding. This banner should include info like free shipping, offers/deals like 50% off, etc
  2. Color, Font & Branding -- Over All Text, Font , Paragraph , Alignment , Spacing , Padding etc should be more elegant so that your store looks well-organized, neat and visually appealing. Maintain the same or similar colors and fonts throughout your store to keep your  branding intact
  3. Featured Collection -- Add all the top featured collection on the homepage so users know the type of products you're selling on your store.
  4. Featured / Bestseller products -- Engage your customers by letting them know the bestseller products on your store
  5. Testimonials -- They add to the trust factor as when customers see what other buyers have to say about your products, it makes them more sure about your brand.
  6. Highlight your USP -- What's unique about your brand that none of the other Shopify merchants have? This needs to be highlighted in your store presentation, features & more.
  7. Trust Badge on Home Page -- This is important as this helps to build trust and assures your customers that your brand is authentic

Your customer views this page to have an in-depth view of the products and services you offer.

  1. Banner adding on Collection page -- Make your collection page stand out with interesting & creative collection banners
  2. Product filter for easy navigation -- Categorize & filter products by their size, color or type so users find product to product navigation easy.
  3. Product Label -- Product labels like % off, ‘New Arrival’, ‘Sold Out’ must be there must be there for the ease of the buyer
  4. Product Showcasing -- Clear product title and description , high quality images , reviews , related products , color swatch function, grey effect for sold out products , product labels . All these features make your store much more convenient, authentic, easy to use and user friendly.
    Example of Good Collection Page

  1. Features like custom swatches, product zoom in, product reviews, unique product titles/descriptions and  cart drawer that will make your product page more interactive and user-friendly.

Hello @prettyplease760, I found this store as your competitor https://peachesandcreamlabel.com/. I would say you to set out your store like this to make it more professional.

Other than that, you need to add some marketing tools to maximize engagement and increase the conversions on your store:-

1. Add web push notifications, it will help you to retarget your customers even when they are not on your store without getting their email address. It also helps to reduce the abandoned cart rate.

2. Add a chatbot to make sure you never lose any of your customers. Every visitor can be your customer.

3. Add a referral program. Referral marketing is a cost-effective way to gain new and loyal customers. Because people are social creatures, individuals that are referred to your company are much more likely to remain loyal customers.

4. Add an announcement bar to highlight important information that you don't want your customers to miss out on.

5. Add a loyalty reward programStart giving loyalty points on activities like on signing up, allowing for push notifications, visiting a store, leaving a review. This will help you to entice your visitors and will also increase the number of push subscribers, reviews, newsletter subscribers. A loyalty program helps in increasing sales and increase the retention rate.

To implement the marketing tools on your store. I would recommend you to install AiTrillion.com. It is 'All in One' Shopify app that has all the essential features in a single app and is a fully integrated app.  Plus you don't need to install multiple apps. You can check it out. I am sure you will find it useful.

I can see that you have information about shipping, Returns, which are all very important to have and increase trust with shoppers. I had a quick look at your store and some of the pages and noticed that you have wonderful collection of products.
Here are some points you may want to consider :
1. You should add customer testimonials which help customers build trust.
2. Instagram feed could be added for brand promotions.
3. Favicon should be added as it make your site distinguishable.
4. Different collections could be added on homepage like "Featured Collections", "Best Selling Products" etc.
5. Login system could be implemented.
6. You may want to think about adding product reviews. Reviews are essential for any eCommerce store as it helps sell more and creates immediate trust with shoppers. Be sure to check out our review app.

First of all, I want to tell you what I love about your website:

  1. Upcoming events. I really loved that connection.
  2. Your hamburger menu is easy to use.
  3. Your products really look great!

My initial reactions:

  • The hero image is slightly blurry and unlinked.
  • “Shop All” doesn’t show all of your products.
  • On your product pages, the product images are way too large.
  • There’s no sizing chart.
  • There’s no currency listed (even in checkout). It mentions USD in a gray color as the total, and that’s the only place I can see it’s mentioned.
  • Your information for hours and location is blurry, hard to read and incomplete. Since I’m not local, I don’t know where Coronado, Del Mar, La Costa or Hayden are. Since you’re dealing with a wide audience from across the country/world, you need to make sure everyone understands where your physical locations are (and how to contact them).
  • There’s no shipping information available until I’m in the checkout process.
  • Don’t use just the images to sell your product. Are they hand-made? Made in the U.S.?
  • Use reviews. Customers love to give opinions on products, and visitors love to read them.
  • As others have mentioned, there’s no logo. I found it buried on some of your pages, but it wasn’t at the top of your site.

Now, what you can do:

  1. Watch recordings of your visitors. It’s like a DVR for your website. You can watch recordings of people who were on your website and see every click, scroll and move. You’ll see if they are confused or stop scrolling. I would be curious how people use your product pages.
  2. Use heatmaps. I think your store would be one that really benefits from using a heatmap. Heatmaps can show you where visitors are clicking/tapping/moving/scrolling to help you understand where people on your website are engaging (or not). Lucky Orange has heatmaps that let you segment the data and navigate your site like a customer. You’ll be able to see if they think the hero image is linked or if they are even scrolling to the rest of your products.
  3. Use live chat. You really need a way for people to get in touch with you. There’s chat included in each Lucky Orange trial and plan, so you don’t have to find a different product to use. I think it will really help your sales if they can ask questions (i.e., shipping) and get answers. If you’re not available, it will ask them to fill out an away form.
  4. Ask. When in doubt, just ask a poll to see what people think. Ask them, “Did you find what you were looking for today?” or “Would you be interested in more dresses or skirts?” can help you understand what THEY want. It’s also included in every Lucky Orange plan.
  5. Add your logo. There’s no way around it. You need to use the logo at the top of all of your webpages.

You have a great start! With just a little insight, you can really find ways to make your website start driving more sales.

P.S. Before you ask, Lucky Orange has a free trial (no credit card needed) and starts at $10/month. We also offer a complimentary onboarding call to help you get it set up on your website and answer questions.
