Please review my store

I would like some feedback on my store if possible. I'd like to make it look more professional and trustworthy as well as looking less 'dropshippy'. Yes, I do not have a selected 'niche' but this is going to the store that I test products on and then hopefully move onto a niche store with the products that are performing very well.

I am aware that I have some features from my old jewelry store on the site but I am working on that now! As well as this, I am adding review etc.

Thanks so much!

Hey there,

Bo here from Shopify Support!

Absolutely fantastic work on your site so far. You have really done a great job in curating your products and writing their descriptions. It already looks so professional.

I noticed that you have an About Us page, it is, however, very short and does not really tell your customer anything about your business. I have seen many, many dropshipping stores and a vast majority state something incredibly similar to what you have written. The About Us is probably the most underutilized marketing tool on Online Stores. What an About Us page should be is a goal-oriented sales page, one that focuses on highlighting the biggest selling points of your story and brand, making a strong impression on curious customers. It is the perfect place to highlight a number of objectives such as:

  •  Communicate the story of your business and why you started it.
  •  Describe the customers or the cause that your business serves.
  •  Explain your business model or how your products are made.
  •  Put a face to your business, featuring the founders, or, the people on your team.
  •  Incorporate persuasive content (e.g. an explainer video, data visualizations, links to blog posts) that might otherwise clutter your homepage.

In short, your online store displays your products brilliantly, your "About Us" page should be telling your customer why they should buy from you.

I noticed that a lot of your product images are missing their Alt Description. Luckily adding an alt description is super easy to do and can be done so as outlined in this doc which can be found in our help center the home of all our help docs!

The long and short of it is that adding alt descriptions helps you rank better in Google because it is telling Google what your images are and so your products can show up in Google image searches. Having the descriptions there also makes your site more accessible for anyone with any kind of visual impairment as their screen readers can read what the image is for them. So while making your page that bit more accessible you are also improving your SEO. Here is a great guide to writing truly effective alt descriptions for your product images.

As you have mentioned, you are aware that you need to get rid of some of the jewelry store information, make sure that you don't forget social media. When you are ready to launch your store I would recommend first taking a look at this video on launching your new Instagram.

Let me know how this goes and if there is anything else I can assist you with, I'm happy to help!

All the Best,

You are doing a great job. Try changing the Red Promoting to maybe softer color, l would go with a light grey. Your Logo is already red.

Hi there,

You have done some quite good work there. If you want your store to look less 'dropshippy', you should focus on a specific niche. You have many products non-related to each other.

You could use a countdown app for the items that you give discounts.

Good luck!
