Hi all,

i am just started with my website www.wannatrends.com

I ran a few ads, got likes on it (30 likes after spending 3 dollar on average). A few visits and no ad to carts. Beside that i am very curious what would you change on my store?

i would love to get some feedback. Thank you.

Hi Sven,

Nick here from Shopify.

Really good work so far and congratulations on launching, it is an achievement in itself. After reading your post and taking a look at your website, there are a few things which I did spot or you could look into further to get some more consistent sales. Let's take a look at them below:

  • The first thing I would do is create a homepage slideshow or have a banner image. A banner image as the first view for someone visiting your store will definitely make it look and feel more professional. It will also make it more clear as to what exactly you're selling and why. Out of the Sandbox is a development company who makes themes which are then sold on the Shopify theme store wrote a blog post about 12 different ways to use the slideshow in your Shopify theme which you can see here
  • Something else which I spotted that you could add in is a logo and consequently a favicon also. Creating a logo is nearly as important as the name of your store as it's how people will recognize who you are whether it is on social media, packaging or a favicon. Similar to the slideshow above, it will also create a much more professional look overall for the Wannatrends brand. Shopify has a guide on how to add a favicon here and the content team wrote a blog post about why logos are important and where to find some logo generators to help build one for yourself. You can also see the Shopify logo generator from the link here
  • You mentioned that you did some ads and got a few likes, but you want to turn those likes into traffic and sales. They key to this is finding your audience. Finding the right audience is the most effective way to leverage and take advantage of social media ads. A great way of doing this via Facebook is the 3x3x3 method. This method is designed to help you find the best audiences to advertise to so you are using your time and ad spend most effectively.  The basic concept is creating 3 ads, which have 3 different audiences and different images/ text to sieve out what works best for you. There are lots of good guides for this online one of which you can see here as well as the guide Shopify created on Facebook ads which you can find here

That is a lot of information and hopefully, it helps. Don't hesitate to ask should you have any other questions about anything.

All the best, Nick

Hi there Sven,

Your store looks good! I would like though a nice logo. Also, make sure your photos have the same dimensions (especially jewelry category). Since you have discounts you could also use a countdown app and (my favorite) an abandoned cart app.

Good luck!

Hi Mario,

thank you for your feedback. I am aware of your point. I am struggling with my image sizes. What do you suggest? And how do you deal with inages that have other sizes?

Hi,

People are certainly price comparing when they visit your store..for example, your yoga mats can be purchased on Amazon for $15 instead of the $28 on your site.  The products really have to be unique, because you can't win against a retail cannibal like Amazon on a price level.

Hi Sven,

I use canva.com. Its free version should be more than enough!
