I have had my shop up for a few months now and am struggling to get traffic. A lot of the people who visit my page are only staying online for 20 seconds or less. Could anyone give me feedback on my store and/or give tips on driving traffic?

I would love to provide some feedback on your store.

From my point of view, I have some recommendations for your store.

 

 

1, The menu

 

I recommend you should add 1 or 2 pages into the menu in the header to make your store more professional. You can consider adding a promotion or blog pages. In the blog pages, you can write content and include in the call to action button. 

 

Or you can add the My Wishlist page for your customers to keep them staying with your store

 

2, The space

 

-The space between the banner and your collection is too short. You should increase the space, for example into 85px

 

-If your Our Fave Right Now collection has only 2 products, so you should not leave the blank on the right, you should align them to the center position

 

-The sizes product title and product price need to be bigger, currently, it's quite small.

3, Our products section

 

You should not leave the blank here to. You should add a product list to show all your products with Add to cart button or Shop now button.

If you don't want to put all your products here so you can add the product's reviews from your customers.

4, Others

-You can add the instagram photos instead of only one instagram's logo

-The newsletter should be put under the instagram feed and above the footer. 

 

5, The footer

 

-You are mentioning the Affiliate program so you should put this page into your menu of the header so customers can see it easily, it helps to increase the conversion rates for your store.

 

-Follow Us category should provides store's Facebook, email, related things to social media

 

-You can add more your store's information to increase the trustworthy

Black header template should be better utilized for highlighting discounts or free shipping offers if any instead of being blank. Keeping the customers updated regarding the latest store trends and product designs can better be possible by adding "New Arrivals" to it. Other essential points to be taken care of regarding store improvement are as follows:

  1. A full-width central banner is a must to avoid the unwanted white space on its both sides.
  2. Promotional discounts in the form of "discount codes or coupons" are a must for better customer engagement.
  3. Social links like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc if added to the footer, can contribute in improving the overall social connectivity of the site.
  4. Instead of having multiple newsletters, adding a single newsletter in the footer itself is sufficient for keeping customers updated regarding the latest discounts and promotional events.
  5. To improve customer decisiveness, product reviews should be added below each item.
  6. Testimonials tend to strengthen customer trust and belief.
  7. You should add terms and conditions and FAQ’s if any, again these also help in building search engine content.

Hi,  

I have gone through your site. Though it looks good, there are quite a few things missing on your store which if added can really make a lot of difference to the user experience, conversion rate and your overall sales.

 

Logo & Favicon :

Logo & Favicon -- Your logo should highlight your brand name. Add a favourite icon so users can locate your webpage easily.

 

HEADER & FOOTER :

  1. Header -- Have a sticky header and a clear smart search bar to help users locate the products they're looking for.Also a slide out cart, a cart icon with item calculator must have features. Login icon must be there for buyer account creation before purchasing.
  2. Footer -- Optimize your footer with more professional and functional look and also highlight your newsletter sign up so people who follow your brand will receive more updates about promotions and sales. There are legal policy pages which are missing in the footer that must be included for authenticity and security purpose

 

HOMEPAGE :

A lot can be done to your homepage to make it more informative & attractive.

  1. Banners & Branding -- Add hero banner with prompt CTA buttons that syncs well with your store theme & branding. This banner should include info like free shipping, offers/deals like 50% off, etc
  2. Color, Font & Branding -- Over All Text, Font , Paragraph , Alignment , Spacing , Padding etc should be more elegant so that your store looks well-organized, neat and visually appealing. Maintain the same or similar colors and fonts throughout your store to keep your  branding intact 
  3. Featured Collection -- Add all the top featured collection on the homepage so users know the type of products you're selling on your store.
  4. Featured / Bestseller products -- Engage your customers by letting them know the bestseller products on your store                                     
  5. Testimonials -- They add to the trust factor as when customers see what other buyers have to say about your products, it makes them more sure about your brand.
  6. Highlight your USP -- What's unique about your brand that none of the other Shopify merchants have? This needs to be highlighted in your store presentation, features & more.
  7. Trust Badge on Home Page -- This is important as this helps to build trust and assures your customers that your brand is authentic

 

COLLECTION PAGE :

Your customer views this page to have an in-depth view of the products and services you offer.

  1. Banner adding on Collection page -- Make your collection page stand out with interesting & creative collection banners
  2. Product filter for easy navigation -- Categorize & filter products by their size, color or type so users find product to product navigation easy.
  3. Product Label -- Product labels like % off, ‘New Arrival’, ‘Sold Out’ must be there must be there for the ease of the buyer
  4. Product Showcasing -- Clear product title and description , high quality images , reviews , related products , color swatch function, grey effect for sold out products , product labels . All these features make your store much more convenient, authentic, easy to use and user friendly.

You need to make your store look more professional. The homepage needs to set out in an organized and attractive manner to grab visitors' attention.

- Add social media links in the footer section.

- Add call to action button in the first fold of the homepage. 

- You need to engage your visitors coming on your site by giving loyalty reward points which will increase repeat purchase and customer lifetime value.

- You can add a chatbot to make sure you never lose any of your customers.

- You can add web push notification which will help you to retarget your customers anytime even when they are not in your store. 

- You should add a pop-up. Add reviews, it enhances SEO and will help you to build trust with other visitors. 

- Add an announcement bar to highlight important information that you don't want your customers to miss out on.

- You can add a countdown timer to create urgency for your promotions or offers with the countdown timer bar and motivate your customers to buy more from the store.  It helps in increasing sales.

 

This will help you to run your store smoothly and decrease the bounce rate and will capture your visitors and convert them into prospective or paying customers. You will be able to retain your customers for the long term.
